Got to have our annual Christmas dinner with all the kids and grandkids Wed the 23rd which was in question due to me having a cold w/fever but I tested negative for COVID.
Wife got same symptoms and tested positive today at quick care clinic. Go figure.

I have a daughter-in-law who loves cats, so when I saw this hardware kitty in a thrift store, I snagged it for her. Looks like a talented, artistic welder put it together. The body is a threaded nut, whiskers are bent nails, the face and snout are bent washers, the eye sockets are washers with glass beads for eyes. She works at a reception desk, so I thought it would be a nice paper weight.

There are 28 editions of the Nestle Greek New Testament.
Below is a picture of my collection.
It’s taken me many years to collect these volumes.
Many were found in used bookstores and purchased inexpensively... a few (the 1898 volume and the 1901 volume) were less than $100)
Christmas is a special time to search, find and purchase them.

Wow! thanks for sharing these. I never knew there were so many editions. I have about 4. There is probably hardly any difference with the text or notes over the years? Are you a collector? Andy

There are differences between editions, but generally not many.

For the most part the recent editions attest to the increasing number of biblical manuscripts that have been found and our understanding how they interrelate with each other.

Early editions reflect the emerging history of textual criticism beginning before Eberhard Nestle’s first edition in 1898.
In 1927 (13th edition) his son, Erwin incorporated a full textual apparatus.
Then in 1952 (21st edition), Kurt Aland joined the process as General Editor, thoroughly checking source documents and expanding the apparatus.

    So yep, I’m a collector.
Still looking for editions from 1899, 1908 and 1914.

It’s apparent mine was a false negative, Nine of us became infected including my 96 yr old Dad who seems to be handling it ok, small grade fever w/ cough, wife has terrible cough but getting better, I’m over it, my gandaughter had to have an emergency appendectomy because of the virus.

Lol, all because of Christmas dinner.

Glad to know "y'all" are doing better. Many seem to have suffered similar consequences of holiday gatherings. One fellow told me their families quarantined before their gathering and managed to avoid COVID. Word is, without a vaccination, one is almost assured of getting it somewhere along the line.
