Is that term offensive?

    It is a virus we believe originated in China. Beyond that I think most people in the US are looking for reasons to be offended. I heard birds were offended by the Avian influenza, and small people are offended by small pox.
    Cool Hand Luke is offended by that.

    Yet we still use the term "Spanish Flu" yet no one says that is offensive

    Only if you are looking for an excuse to be offended, in which case, anything can be offensive and f you believe it serves your political agenda.

    In addition the Spanish flu didn't originate in Spain. It came from the U.S.
