How many of the Red Baron's victims were killed ?

    While the exact number of Richtofen's air victories will never be known, (unless God reveals it) as more than one witness said he had a number of unconfirmed victories, he was officially credited with 80 confirmed enemy planes shot down. Best as I can find out, 73 pilots or crewmen in those planes were killed, but the source of that intel is suspect. Doubtlessly, at least several men in those planes survived, & I'm trying to find out, if possible, how many did among his official victories.

    (To confirm an air victory, the remains of the enemy plane had to be positively ID'd on the ground.)

    Only if seen by credible witnesses. There was more than one aircraft shot down over the English Channel.
