    Yes. His grandson Harrison Ruffin Tyler is still living, age 91, & so are harrison's children.

    I was going to say, I thought this was the case. I have relatives that are allegedly related to him. They're on my cousin's other side of their family. I myself am related to James K. Polk and Zachary Taylor.

    I wonder what those g- g-children think about his name being removed-- or half removed-- from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas. It is now just Tyler H.S. But the city Tyler was also named for that president. If you take the John out of the school, ... forget it.

    I know if I were them, I'd feel like the country was betraying history. Seems like everyone these days has gone monkey-shine, and they're trying to destroy history...AMERICAN history. If they do this, this country is doomed.

    They probably don't like it. There are many Tylers in the USA, but only one named John was POTUS.
