And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
    For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;
and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

    1) Who are those "called" according to His purpose? Those who love God. Thus created beings who exist and have chosen to love God. Some translations choose to include the article, thus reading those who are the called according to His purpose. Therefore those in view are those who have been transferred into Christ's spiritual body.

    2) Who are those He foreknew? Those who have been individually called (placed within Christ's spiritual body) because they love God.

    3) How did God foreknow them or what about them did He know beforehand? God's redemption plan was to choose believers that He credited with righteous faith. Thus God knew beforehand that believers who love God were the chosen ones, the called.

    4) What else did God plan and predestine for those chosen? To cause them to be conformed to the image of His Son.

    5) Now in the present, God is implementing His redemption plan, calling those whose faith He credits, by setting them apart in Christ, the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

    6) And these placed into Christ, are made alive together with Christ, undergoing the washing of regeneration, which removes whatever God held against them, and thus are justified by the blood of Christ.

    7) And therefore, our spiritual rebirth as children of God, glories us as siblings of Christ, made blameless and perfect and righteous. And of course, those who are "the called" have been glorified.

Yet we have perceived that the ones loving God...
The Greek word translated ones loving God is a verb participle that acts as an adjective describing its subject whether supplied or implied. Therefore those called exist and have chosen to love God.

All is working together for good...
No matter the circumstances of those saved, the end result will be the blessings of salvation, thus no matter what, all works together for ultimate good.

to the ones being called according to purpose...
Those called according to God's purpose are those that love God and have righteous faith as determined by God.

Because those whom God knew would be chosen based on their love and faith,

He also designated beforehand that they would be conformed to the image of His Son,

For His Son would be the firstborn of many siblings.

Yet those whom He designated beforehand (in His Redemption plan) to be conformed,

He also called - those called in this usage are those transferred spiritually into Christ's spiritual body, thus those saved.

And those whom He called, He also justified - once placed within and thus given to Christ, believers undergo the washing of regeneration, resulting in being made alive and therefore justified, no longer dead in sin.

And those whom He justified, He also glorified - as a blameless, righteous, perfect spiritual child of God and sibling of Christ.

    1. No, they are not called because they love God. That denies other verses in the very same letter. Nobody loves God.
    2. He foreknew the ones he predestined.
    3. He knew them intimately as those he would make the sons of God. The ones He would save.
    4. correct
    5. No, you are just wrong on this. The calling happens BEFORE the faith, not during or after.
    6. We are not placed into Christ. We are chosen to be in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Methinks the most important word in the two verses is, "purpose".

    Your words, "designated beforehand".

That the ones, under law, he should redeem From Gal 4:5 - From Gal 3:22 But locks up together the scripture, the all, under sin.

Thou shall not eat of it. --------- Is that why, the all, need to be redeemed?

What is the, "purpose," the called are purposed for and why does it require them to be the first-fruit in the image of the resurrected Christ?

    Rev 20:6
    Rev 5:10

There are some who think that their actions are a cooperative requirement in order for God to extend grace. They cannot grasp that any required effort on their part entirely removes grace from salvation and makes it works based salvation.

In my experience, it really is a massive blind spot that only God can seem to remove through the unbiased reading of his word.

The purpose of God choosing a people for His own possession is stated over and over in scripture. Read 1 Peter 2:9-10

What does "called according to His purpose" mean? We have already presented the view that those called are those who are transferred into Christ's spiritual body, becoming "the called."

"According to" translates the preposition "Kata" with the meaning of "in consequence of" so the idea is that those transferred, were transferred in consequence of "His purpose."

Purpose translates a Greek word meaning to place before others a determination or plan of action, such as God's Redemption Plan. So those transferred into Christ's spiritual body were transferred in consequence of God's predetermined redemption plan, His purpose.

Yet we have perceived that for the ones loving God, all is working together for good, to the ones becoming "the called" according to His purpose.
