Resting on that 7th Day in Creation

A ruler “rests” on his throne; that’s where his real work is done.

Gods “rest” is a picture for us. Remember Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man

the fact that God rested means He stopped creating which is what the rest is from

 

Holy Scripture often applies certain physical attributes to GOD, but only symbolically.


The Day of Rest - the Sabbath, GOD established not because He was tired and need rest, but He established it for us, so we would work six days for ourselves, but Seventh Day we would dedicated to our Lord GOD.

GOD'S spiritual realm has no time as we know it. GOD is from everlasting to everlasting. Means He has no beginning and no end (Psalms 93.1). Because of it there is no before or after in eternity, but it seems only present. There is no reference point to start beginning or end, or anything in the middle of it.


Psalm 90.2

2.Before the mountains were born, or You did give birth to the Earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are GOD. In order to understand His creations in human terms, we can symbolically start from the very First Creation. So, Who was the First created?


Colossians 1. 15

15.And He (Jesus Christ) is the Image of the invisible GOD (Father), the First-born of all.


Hebrews 1.6

6.And when He (GOD Father) again brings the First-Born (Jesus Christ) into the world, he (David) says, "And let all the angels of GOD worship Him." (Psalm 97.7)


Revelation 3.14

14.And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the Faithful, and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of GOD says this:


Revelation 22.13

13.I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

2.in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He made the world.


Colossians 1.16-17

16.By Him (by Christ) all things were created, both in the heavens and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created by Him and for Him.


17.And He (Jesus Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.


We see here hierarchy of creation.


No one created GOD Father, he is from everlasting to everlasting.


GOD father created Image of Himself - Jesus Christ, very First His Creation.


Then through His Son GOD Father created the rest of the world, spiritual and physical worlds.


This means that Jesus Christ by the power of GOD Father created numerous angels and entire spiritual world.


And after that Jesus Christ by the power of GOD Father created entire physical world, and He involve in every aspect of its entire history.


John 14.9

9.Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, how do you say, 'Show us the Father'?”


John 12.45

45.”And whoever sees Me, sees Him Who sent Me.”

God is "all act;" if one may so say; having nothing passive in him;
and therefore must be active and operative;

"My Father works hitherto, and I work", (John 5:17)

in which words there is a term fixed, unto which God had worked,
the then present time Christ spoke them;

but none from whence he began to work: he had not only worked in providence until then,
since the creation, and not only at the creation, but from all eternity;

his active and eternal mind had always been at work;

the thoughts of his heart were always employed in devising, forming,
and settling things that should be done in time;

and as the three divine Persons were taking infinite delight and pleasure in each other,
so in the foreviews of what would be done by each of them in time,
for the setting forth and the manifestation of their glory.
