I'm on another site and there is a poster who is trying to convince everyone that there are 2 gospels. He has a couple of verses that he has twisted and a couple of logical arguments, and just keeps trying to goad people into admitting that his logic is right. No matte what you say, or how you argue, he will say, "You aren't answering my question." And I have to be kind and patient, but I wat to scream at this idioto.

    Luke 18:9-14

And he spoke this parable to certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

There was indeed a distinction made concerning the AUDIENCE among the apostles.

I agree that the audience was different. But it was the same truth.

It was all true, but the numerous 'last days' warnings given to the Jews of the Old Covenant does not apply to the Church of the New Covenant.

Well, 2 Corinthians 11:4 comes to mind, ". . . For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, . . ."

I agree. But to call someone a heretic is unacceptable. HOwever, I can just put people on ignore.

There are plenty of secondary details to the gospel one can be wrong on. But essentials one cannot be wrong on.

2 John 1:9, ". . . Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. . . ."

One has to know God to have eternal life. John 14:6, John 17:3, 1 John 5:12 and Romans 8:9, Romans 8:16.

You only need one essential that is clearly denied. Such as 1 Corinthians 15:12-17. Or Luke 24:38-40.

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” - Samuel Clemens

Reminds me of a saying about the futility of reasoning with a fool,

It’s like playing chess with a pigeon.
the pigeon just knocks all the pieces over
    cr*ps all over the board
    and
then struts around like it won.
