Baptist versus Baptist.

    Understanding each what and why.

    There are numerous passages both New Testament and Old.

    The essentials of the Christian faith are agreed upon.

    Baptist districtives are agreed upon.

    As of this writing I am pondering which points should be considered the more important issue or issues.

    1 Corinthians 11:19, ". . . For there must be also \ sects \ among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. . . ."

    So am I hearing correctly? So how few of the Baptist districtives one who is a Baptist would agree on. Which, if any?

    So with Heinz 57 variety of Baptists - there will be much disagreement.

    One of main baptist distinctive -is eternal security
    but that is a doctrine of which the Free Will Baptist do not believe!

    Since Baptist churches are autonomous, each church can be regarded as a sect unto itself.
