Lot of christians believe that heaven will be a place where all saved have same position.

Will christians have differnets "rankings" "positions" in heaven? Are we all be the same?

Does it matter? We won't feel jealousy. We will be basking in the glory of Christ, I imagine, and nothing else compares.

I would say that there will be some kind of ranking, but as quoted above, there will be no jealousy.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In the Kingdom, there will those who rule and reign, and those who serve. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. While that may not be jealousy, there will be those who will see what they missed out on.

I don't think the Bible really says a whole lot on the time after the Kingdom.

the weeping and gnashing of teeth is in hell, not in the millenial kingdom, nor in the kingdom of heaven.

Christ and the Father will reign for ever and ever. Who can stand beside Him?

The references to the weeping and gnashing of teeth are aimed at the "children of the Kingdom" (Matthew 8:12), "His servants" (Matthew 22:13), "His servant" again (Matthew 24:51), "His servant" yet once again (Matthew 25:30), and Luke 13:28 specifically says, "the Kingdom of God".

I don't think "His servant" (those who serve him and belong to him) are going to the lake of fire, nor arre the "children of the Kingdom" going to the lake of fire", if that's what you're implying.

They will be weeping and gnashing their teeth because they see what they have missed out on in the Kingdom, not because they didn't work hard enough to save themselves or something like that.

Jesus did not deny places of honor existed when James and John sought the right hand and the left hand of Christ. He states those were up to the Father to decide.

Rev 22:12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is.

    That says it all. Accordingly.

If there were no "positions" or rankings in Heaven then----well---Why would it have mattered to Silome---the momma of the Sons of Thunder???

"Grant that my boys will sit on the right and left in your kingdom, Lord"

Why did Jesus answer her the way He did??

"Its not up to Me! Its up to My Father!"

    Why didn't He answer

"You know, Silome! What you're wanting???---it really don't matter!! There is no right and left! There is no first and last! Everybody is gonna be on equal footing---so, why don't you just run along now and don't worry your little head none about it!!!"

    I Corinthians 3

This chapter says that there is no foundation (or salvation) except in Jesus Christ.

It also says that a person can build upon this foundation in the form of gold or silver or hay or stubble.

That means that some Christians are in the will of God and doing the work that He called them to do and that some Christians are wasting their talents and wasting their lives.

The chapter also says that all of these "works" will be tried by "fire" (God's jugdement of our works). The gold and silver works will be rewarded.

The hay and stubble works will "burn up", BUT the Christian himself or herself will not lose their salvation.

So will we be equal to each other in Heaven? Yes. Our salvation is all equal in nature. We are all saved "equally".

But our works will be judged and Christians will be rewarded accordingly. However, I do not believe that Christians who receive a greater reward will be "higher" in rank that other Christians.

I don't believe that there will be a Heavenly caste system at all.

Heaven will be joyous and perfect. No competitions. No jealousy. No regrets. No pride.

So we don't need works for faith, but we have to work to recieve God's favor in heaven?

I did not say that in my post, but more importantly the scripture that I cited, 1 Corinthians chapter 3 does not say that.

We do not "work" to receive God's favor in the afterlife. God will have no favorites in Heaven.

We will not be walking around in Heaven saying, "Look at my rewards, sorry that you did not get as many as me..."

We won't be showing off our rewards at all, we will be casting them at the feet of Jesus...the One who deserves the rewards to begin with.

Our work here on earth is all for the glory of Jesus Christ anyway.

We work here on earth, in His Name and for His glory.

And in Heaven, we will receive rewards accordingly and STILL focus our attention on Jesus Christ by casting any rewards we receive at His feet....

You misinterpreted my post. That may have been my fault.

Read 1 Corinthians chapter 3 for yourself.

We can't work hard enough to save ourselves. The only way we can be saved the through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the sky; And those who turn many to rightousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.
    Dan. 12:3 MKJV
Looks like to me there will be a differance.

    Hope,

I misunderstood what you said. To me it seemed that they had to work hard to save themselves. I would still disagree about weeping and gnashing of teeth in Heaven.
