I think of your state as very conservative, and would imagine that he will be defeated in the next election if he does not resign. This plays right into the Democrats hands, especially from someone who shouted from the roof tops about family values and morals.

I think he will be defeated. Things like this don't bode well for a man in this state. We are SOOO conservative that I remember some peopel thought Ronald Reagan was a flaming liberal.

It is one thing to admit a crime, even a misdemeanor, but to say you simply pled guilty hoping it would "GO AWAY" is beyong the bounds for a supposed leader. A 'leader' is supposed to take responsibility, not shuffle things into the dark hoping it will 'go away'.

It is a big story here. His news conference was on TV news and played to death. It seemed disingenous to me. Besides, if he was truly innocent then as a lawmaker he should have known that he could fight it and win and should never have pled to a lesser charge.

There is a dead fish in the well somewhere. And it will float to the surface eventually.

I think he should resign. If he runs again, he will more than likely be defeated.

I think that he could lose in the GOP primary.
