    Interesting poll.

Many say they will never put chips in their children. I am not truly decided yet.

The argument for that chip being the mark of the beast is flawed. Christ has not come to Rapture His own yet, so it can't be the mark.
It could be the forerunner for that mark though, for I believe we truly are living in the last days New Testament saints warned us about.

I'm sure the mark of the beast will be marketed as a convenience, just like this is.

To me, chipping one's kids means the government can watch them, so you don't have to. Part of Hillary's "we're all in it together society".

I think the author of the linked article is engaging in a bit of satire.

    Chips in pets - yes.

    Chips in people - no.

Why would people submit to being treated like livestock or inventory?

I agree with SFIC. this would eliminate missing children, wanderers with Alzheimer's, etc. if implanted deep enough and were relatively undetectable.

I find it more likely that it would eliminate our freedoms.

    Chips belong in dip.

I don't like it because it is just another way to invade privacy.
I can imagine the uses if someone could hack into the database that would handle the information... scary.... thinking anyone could stalk me,
    or my children.

As it being the mark of the beast? nah...
It will be more ingenious than that. Plus it will be mandatory.

    I agree, tim.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (Revelation 13:16)

The mark, whatever it may be, will be mandatory.

'Causeth all to receive a mark.' The mark will be mandatory.

Sounds like there's two options. I don't believe everyone left will recieve it. I believe people will be saved during the tribulation.

    Perhaps another thread ?

Perhaps from one perspective it is mandatory and from another it is optional.

One can take the mark and buy or sell or one can take it and not buy or sell. That reflects choice, albeit not a very pleasant one.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." - Revelation 13:16-17

One can take the mark and worship the beast or one can be beheaded, this also reflects an opportunity for a decision or choice.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." - Revelation 20:4

    1. left to one's choice; not required or mandatory:

    (Source: optional. (n.d.). Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1). Retrieved August 30, 2007, from Dictionary.com website: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/optional)

The only laws we should consider to be mandatory are the laws given by the only law giver, Jehovah. From His perspective it would be mandatory not to take the mark.

And yet, according to 2 Thessalonians 2, God will cause all who received not the love for the truth to believe a lie and be damned. He will, make that mark mandatory for those who rejected His Son.

And yet, according to Revelation 20:4 some will choose not to take the mark. Some will choose poorly and some will choose wisely. Some will love their lives more than death and some will love their lives not unto death.

I do not believe the ones in Revelation 20:4 are ones from the 7 year tribulation period. I believe they are martyrs from the cross to the Rapture of the saints just prior to the tribulation.

During the tribulation, I see only 144,000 sealed (not saved). I see all others believing the lie and being damned.
