Tanya - Are you up early because of contractions or just discomfort? I remember those last days well. OY! Trying to get comfortable!!

Well, today is kind of a relaxing day. I DO have to go to the barn later but otherwise, the girls are at school, we're trying to finish up homeschooling for the vacation and I have some packages to put together and get out. :)

The play went so well last night and a number came to the Lord including one of our worship leader's father! Praise the Lord. This play had such a clear Gospel message - AND telling everyone that TONIGHT is the night to choose. We don't know what will happen tomorrow. Honestly, this was the best we ever had.

I'm off - I DO have a bit of work to do on the church website and I should get started on that. I'm putting up FULL information for each of our many ministries so people can really know and understand what each one is about and why we do it. It's going to be a daunting project but it will make the website so much better. :)

Have a great day everyone! I left French Breakfast Puffs (http://thepioneerwomancooks.com/2007/12/french_breakfast_puffs.html) and some fresh fruit. Enjoy!

    Good almost afternoon, all!

Some of you folks are sure getting the snow! Keep safe, PLEASE! We are raining this week here, so above freezing. Mountains around us are starting to collect the snow, though.

Barry bought me a lamp for one of our end tables so that I would have enough direct light to do some needlepoint in the evenings. I got it out last night and did about an hour's worth. It was fun getting back to that. Many years ago I spent about five months on a leopard which is hanging in our den. This one is two roses. At the rate I am going I might have it done for our anniversary next October! But it is fun to do in front of the wood stove on a winter evening, with some television program or another on.

Got to get downtown in a bit. Chris is about out of diapers, but we have found a hospital supply which will honor prescriptions for adult diapers. We have been paying for them ourselves up until now and Chris is on Medicare, so having that expense taken care of will be wonderful.

Tanya, hang in there! I'm not here much, but I've been following your progress....or lack of it....and am so glad your husband will be back with you for the birth. God bless you both.

To everyone else, God bless you all, and please drive carefully.

    Good afternoon all,
Just dropping by for a moment. It is a beautiful afternoon here. I think it got up to 58 for the high here. It is so nice not to have fog and rain with temperatures just above freezing! The kids play went good last night- a few mess ups but nothing major that changed the message. The kiddos are here until there mom finishes work at Wally world tonight. I brought in some chex mix and Christmas cookies left from church last night. Y'all have a good day and stay warm and safe!

    Good evening all,

I am all better after having the 72 hour flu bug. PTL!

I have been baking cookies and wrapping presents.

I made a plate full of petite sandwiches and a plate of all the different kinds of cookies we baked for Brent to take to his class Christmas party tomorrow. School is out at noon for Christmas vacation.

I just have one more person to buy for and then bake my sister some diabetic cookies and I'll be finished. No one will be here for Christmas, but I still like to sit and look at the lights and enjoy the quiet for a few days before Christmas.

The mini lights on the top half of our Christmas tree went out...ALL of them! I don't know if we have a short someplace or what, but it will be Brent's job to figure it out since he'll be out of school.

I'm tired and I think I'm going to bed early.

    Pleasant dreams all!

ROB - That's AWESOME!! Congratulations and may the move go smoothly and wonderfully and may God bless you all greatly in your new home!

Just back from our staff Christmas party at church and we had a great time, as usual. We had games for everyone - kids and adults - yummy food, gift exchange and a fun song for the women. Each year, the women and the men sing to each other - alternating each year. This year was the men singing to the women. It was a song written to "Walking in a Winder Wonderland" and included ALL the women on staff in it. That's 24 women! Of course, there were 17 verses and 6 "choruses". LOL! Mine was (to the tune of the "In the meadow we can build a snowman" part)

Ann is spending time with the computer
Working on the notes for Pastor Ayars
She's also making slides for the announcements
We like the one that's with the polar bear!

It ends with (to the regular part of the song tune)

    Pastor, yes
    Have their faults too
    But of course
    They are small and few
    But never you mind
    Just remember
    BE KIND!
    Working in a worker's wonderland

    2008
    Just before us
    But our God
    He is for us
    We'll face unafraid
    The plans He has made
    Working in a worker's wonderland

LOL - VERY cute. So now we're straightening up because my father in law is coming to spend the night (he went to the office where he used to work for a meeting and it's a full 2 hours from there to get home. The meeting won't end until around 7:30 or 8PM so he figured he'd stop here (30 minutes from the office), the spend the night and head home in the morning.

Have a great night everyone! I guess everyone else is busy too - this room is getting quiet!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Gayla-Praying the markers go down and stay down.

Tanya-Praying for a safe delivery. Are they using the Lamaize Method?, you know where one of the doctors stands by the sturrups with a glass of French Champagne saying come on babee, come on babee.
So the trick to blasting my Cuz away from her sewing machine is to have a baby.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes about the house. We have to go there and sign papers today.[

Too bad we don't have a video of Anns office party. Whos the brunette [who is married to one of the Pastors] with the lampshade on her head and singing atop the table?

No problem about packing Cuz. We're packing one room at-a-time. When we get to the new house[still seems funny to say that] everything goes into the room it belongs in. Thats the plan at least. :BangHead:

I brought in Scottish Toffee Cake. Enjoy.

What is the secret to keeping Women happy at Christmas? The secret goes back over 2000 years...

Wise men still bring gifts. :wavey:

Ahh, Cuz! I see you wife has you well trained.

Okay folks, we have a baby! Miss Leah (who still doesn't have a middle name) was born this morning at 11:42! She is 19.5 inches long and weighs in at 7 lbs and 12 oz.

Cuz, I am NOT away from the sewing machine. The original plan was that Tanya was going to have Leah tomorrow, Friday, a day that should have been totally empty of plans on my part, except to keep the other 6. I even managed to halfway toddler proof my house. However Tanya's doc couldn't seem to get the idea that "any day, but Thursday" meant "any day but Thursday"! :( Today was Jenna's school party so I didn't get to go, but rather stayed here and since I am here, the sewing machine is working. Matter of fact, it just beeped at me to put in the next panel to embroider as it is finished with the one in it.

And if anyone thinks that it is possible to have only one thing going on around here at a time, let me inform you of reality: Tanya has a baby, Jenna has a cold and is currently in bed willingly, the sewing machine is working and the cousins will be here this pm. (Party is over, all I had to for it was pick up the pizza's from the restaurant. That was a 'nother whole story. We won't go there today) Oh and I already have an extra kid at my house. :D

Just think, there will be 6 kids (not even Tanya's), two puppys and 6 adults at my house this evening. :D Sounds like fun!

Sounds like you got a free day tomorrow Cuz. Want to help us pack?

Realtor says we could be in the new house in two weeks.

We're going to look like The Beverly Hillbillies when we move. We'll load up the trucks, and the trailers. Any volunteers to sit in the rocking chair holding the shotgun on top of the truck?

Yessir I done gradeated the sixth grade. Twice. Gonna be a double-ought spy next.

If I was ever stupid enough to call Sue Granny
then you'd see somebody usin' a shotgun, and she's probably a crack shot too.

Okay Mrs Menageriekeeper: Back to work. You've had your break for today. I want you rested and strong to help lift tomorrow. Okay, okay I'll feed you too.

Hey Cuz you wanna be Elly May?

    Congratulations, FOG!

Here's my advice. Have the new place professionally cleaned and carpets cleaned, etc. before you move in. Makes it much easier.

No, I don't want to be Elly Mae! I want to hold the shotgun!!! I'll even bring my own shells. :D Oohh, can I bring T's .44 Magnum to play with too???

Okay, Baby Leah has a middle name now. She will be Leah Paige. Tanya is also doing fine.

Now wait. Dear Cuz, where'd you get the idea tomorrow was an off day? I still have Christmas to buy and we have rellytives come to visit. I'll be lucky if'n I get to sleep til 8 tomorrow.

Congratulations on your new home, Rob!

Congratualations on your new baby, Tanya!

I don't post for a day or so and come back and it's out with the old and in with the new...

    Good morning all,

It's been pretty busy around here since I got over the flu. I had some catching up to do.

Brent is out of school now, so he has been a great help to me.

    • All the presents are wrapped and under the tree.
    • the ones that had to be mailed have been received at their destination.
    • All the cookies are baked.
    • Decorations are all up.
    • Missing lights on tree have been replaced.
    • House is clean...except for the kitchen.

The kitchen is on my list today. Actually, it's not that bad except for one counter top which happens to be a 'catch-all'.

I have pretty much decided to have cold cuts, salads, relish tray, cheeseball, cookies, etc. for Christmas dinner...which will be eaten on Christmas Eve at noon (since that's when some of my family will be here).

With that kind of food, we can snack all day on Christmas without having to cook or reheat anything!

It is so foggy here this morning that I can hardly see across the street! It is supposed to start lifting around 10:00 this morning.

I brought in a breakfast pizza (very colorful for Christmas) and some egg nog.

    Enjoy! [IMG]
