    Good Afternoon Everybody,

MARK YESTERDAY'S DATE ON THE CALENDAR! Seems I was...ahem, mistaken in my dipiction of us looking like the Beverly Hillbillies when we move to the new house. It seems like my Cuz will be portraying Granny complete with a loaded shotgun [and a loaded 44 Magnum under the cushion.]
I told my family that I'd be Jed Clampett but they declared that it would be major stretch [intelliiectually] for me to be Jethro. * Hmmpph *

I never realized just how much junk [er..I mean treasures] you can accumulate in 21 years of marriage. We're making a list of what we keep and...WAITAMINNIT!!! I'M NOT ON THE LIST! Seems like Brenda and I will have to discuss this over a Romantic dinner I have planned for tonight. *ahem* there is something to be said for Maritial Diplomacy.

I know that many of you will be having parties and get-togethers shortly, and I thought I'd be a good chap and post a recipe for you:

    ELEPHANT STEW

    Ingredients
    1-elephant
    2-rabbits [optional]
    salt and pepper
    brown gravy

    Directions
CUT elephant into bite-size pieces [this should take about 3 months]

    COVER with brown gravy

COOK in large pot over kerosene fire at 465 degrees until fork-tender

YIELD: This will serve 3,800 people. If more are expected then the 2 rabbits may be added. *Please use caution when doing this: Some people get very upset when they find hare in their food.

For all my Brothers and Sisters:

If there's joy all around you
    at Christmas this year,
    If there's nothing but gladness
    and love and good cheer,
If your prayers for the new year
    are all fulfilled, too -
Then you'll have all the blessings
    I wish for you.

    Merry Christmas

    Rob

    Good morning all,

It is 49º right now and should stay that way all day. We are supposed to get rain. That will wash the rest of the snow away since it's almost gone already.

I didn't make it to the grocery store for ingredients yesterday, so I guess I'll go today. I thought I was having some family in for lunch today, but they're not coming until Christmas Day. I will be having family for lunch Christmas Eve too...not the same ones.

Brent delivered papers on his bike this morning since it is warm enough and not snowing, blowing, raining, sleeting, or icing!

I will take him the next three mornings because the papers will be too heavy for his backpack. He will be getting a regular newspaper bag this spring.

Off to fix bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and oat toast with strawberry jelly.

    Help yourself!
    HAGD!

Tanya: She is beautiful!!!!!! Look out she'll be having boyfriends before you know it!
It is 29 degrees and the north wind is blowing hard. I went out to the store to get some chili seasoning and the wind almost knocked me off my feet!
I am going to grab some hot chocolate and go to bed soon I have a load of laundry in the washer that needs to be put in the dryer but after that I am going to bed. I hope y'all have good services tommorrow-I am looking forward to ours. If you think about it please keep baby niece in your prayers-her parents took her to the er. The last word that I got is that they think it is a kidney infection. I'll get you an update when I hear back from her mom.

    Good morning all,
Coffee is brewing, hot chocolate is ready and there are hot biscuits on the stove. You might be able to find fresh fruit in the fridge along with some grape juice and jelly.
Baby niece has some kind of virus. I think it is her teeth but who knows. Anyway, gotta run-have a nice day!

For those warm, yummy biscuits, I've brought in a few jars of Christmas jam!! Nicole and I made it last night (well, I made it and Nicole took pictures) - and we got a full 43 jars done! I'm SO thrilled! So now I just need to wrap gifts and I'm DONE with Christmas shopping. Good timing too since it will be busy at church today and tomorrow.

Today, DH has a worship practice for tomorrow night and the girls have their dance worship team practice too so I'll come home with just the little ones after church. We have a relaxing afternoon and evening which is great. I'm feeling a movie night coming on! LOL!

Tomorrow will be a quiet morning and then we have to be at church at 3PM for the 4PM and 7PM services. The church will feed us dinner since we're there the whole time. Then it's home to put kiddies to bed and get ready for Christmas morning! Woo-hoo!!

Have a great day everyone!! Enjoy the jam!

She is truly a blessing, Tanya!!!

    Good morning all,

I woke up with Bronchitis this morning and I SO wanted to stay well for Christmas. :(

I had to drive Brent to deliver papers this morning, no matter how dangerous it was for me to be outside, because it was 19º with a wind chill of 7º and the wind was blowing at 40mph!!! He would have frozen or gotten frostbite on his bicycle.

I am staying home from church and laying down on the couch. It's a good thing we're having cold cuts for Christmas Eve and Christmas day family. I don't think I could manage anything else.

Brent will cut up the vegetables for the relish tray, cheeseball is already made, two salads (Rob's Cherry Coke Salad and my Popcorn Salad) have to be put together, but Brent can help with that also and he LOVES to arrange the meats and cheeses on the round tray. He makes it look absolutely professional. :)

    Off to the couch.

    HAGD!

    Blessed Sunday Everyone!

We're headed down to T's parent's church this morning. T's mother gets to show off the whole family this morning. :D We celebrated their 46th anniversary last night. Today T's mom is doing dinner. T's sis in in to help here cause I don't cook! (hey, she volunteered!)

After dinner, I plan on coming home to crash. Think I'll get to???

    Sue, get well!

    Cuz, get to packin'!

Tanya, quit spoiling that baby! (isn't she sweet?)

The rest of you behave and I'll see you when I can!

What a beautiful blessing, Tanya! Congratulations!

All quiet on the western front. Baking some cookies for neighbors. Have a couple more presents to wrap. All else is fine.

Sun is even breaking through the clouds. I feel downright sleepy and happy right now.

    God bless you all.

    Good Christmas Eve morning all!

It is 25º, but the wind has died down and there is no precipitation. PTL!

We are waiting for the papers to be brought out so we can deliver them. They are usually here before 6, but we got a notice that they would not be here before 8 and that is when we are supposed to be done delivering.:BangHead:

I stalled the Bronchitis with some antibiotics, so I'm good to go for right now.

I have both of my salads made and everything cut up for the relish tray. I just have to make it look pretty now.

I need to make a run to the grocery store after we finish the papers. I forgot to buy tomatoes and regular coffee. :tonofbricks:

We drink decaf here, but none of our guests do. They won't be here until around 11 this morning. The late papers will slow us down some, but I think we have everything under control.

    Have a great day!

A blessed Christmas to you all. I have about four more minutes before the invasion -- Gina took a shift for someone else this morning so the other person could have Christmas with their family. She will be home about 2:30. ITM, we will have the girls for the morning and told them "Not before 8:30!" It is about 8:28 as I type this and I'm finishing the last of my tea.

Although we had our 'official' Christmas at Thanksgiving, we did get stockings stuffed for them, and for Gina. Barry wrote me another lovely poem and did the horses for me this morning. What a guy!

Two minutes left. I think I'll meander out to the family room....

    God bless you all.
