    It's really just misunderstood.
There are some Muslims who are a-ok, so it's wrong to paint with a broad brush and say that in general, it's a scary religious group.

It's only a few people who have gone extreme that cause problems.

And on and on and on.
I'm not convinced, when this continues to be their MO. LINK

We are in a religious war that one side (the Islamic extremists) recognize as such, but the other side (ours) refuses to recognize as such. I would never tar everybody with a broad brush, because we are all individuals, and need the grace of God. But we must realize that extreme Islam is not fighting us over policy differences, but over religion.

Any religion who denies the Son---does what else??

Jesus said that whoso denieth the Son---denies also the Father----which is spooky any way you look at it---whether you have a Muslim with a Koran in his lap or a Muslim extremist looking through the Peep sights of an AK-47----good Muslims as well as bad are condemned and will go to Hell for unbelief because they have not "believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God"

    From the OP link:
That's news? Muslims are always angry about something - in fact, their whole religion is based on anger and violence. It's starting to get ho-hum now. I'm getting immune to muslims rioting in the streets, setting cars and buildings on fire, screaming at the tops of their lungs pointing AK-47s to the sky, showing beheadings of infidels on worldwide TV, raising their fists in the air, burning flags, and their threats of wiping all infidels off the face of the earth. I don't doubt they will succeed one day, but in the meantime, it's becoming so commonplace, it is rather boring and mundane. [IMG]

You know it is only a few bad apples. It's the same five guys doing all of it and making the rest look bad. First they tear down valuable green houses in Gaza, then they fly to Europe and burn Cars in France for month, then they go to Syria and burn a couple of embassies, then the drive over to Lebanon and cause some trouble. These five guys who are doing all this, while the rest sit back and let them, are the ones who replaced the other five guys who were causing ALL the trouble and making every one else look bad before them. The other five or so guys died on 9/11.

Funny, from what I see on the news, it is way more than 5 guys. I have to agree that the muslim religion is a religion of hate.

Their god is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Their god is not the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. They profess that Jesus of Nazareth was no more than a great teacher or a prophet, but certainly not the Son of the living God.

One day, however, they will bow their knee and they will proclaim with their tongues that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Sadly, many will not bow and confess until they stand before His throne; as will every false prophet and their followers, every atheist, and every one who believes that God is a God who will not assign anyone to an eternity in a lake of fire. But then it will be too late. They will find at that time that there was truth to the proverb, 'You've made your bed, now sleep in it'.

We, as christians, are to be Christ's witness in the earth today. We are to reach the lost at any cost. We may not be in the muslim country, but we can be a witness to muslims in the world through our media, through Newspapers, Television, Radio, and yes, even through the Internet. These four means of communication can carry our witness into every continent of the World.

Continue to let your light shine by sharing God's Word with any means possible. The muslims are hearing the stories of the christian faith. We are farmers in a great field. One plants, one waters, and God Almighty brings about the increase. His Word will not return void, but will accomplish that which it is purposed to do.

In the beginning was the Word... John 1:1

I am come that they might have life... John 10:10

    Salvation is of the Lord!

I'm not trying to defend any muslim actions, but what would be our response to Christians who got violent and inappropriate because of blasphemous depictions of Jesus or the Bible?

I would like to think that we would be equally as critical of them as we should be of these muslims.

come on now Gold Dragon. You KNOW we christians would roundly condemn someone for bunning down and embassy over a cartoon. But the thing is, we have to be subjected to similar things all the time, and we don't burn down embassies, and we are not even allowed to complain, as it were.

But they're not, and that's the point.

Here's a short pop quiz. I hope everyone studied.

Question one: What religion has been nicknamed "the religion of peace?"

Question two: What religion is having massive protests and shows of anger across the world, including but not limited to: flying planes into buildings, setting embassies on fire, beheading people publically, and kidnapping people that are trying to show the world they are decent folk?

Extra Credit Question: Do those two statements jive? Yes or No

Question three: Which religion has this qoute in their Holy Book:

Question Four: Which religion was host to the Crusades and the inquisition?

Question Five: Which religion is host to some fine, peace-loving folks like Fred Phelps?

Extra Credit: Is it possible that these acts of violence have more to do with the sinful natures of man than they do the religion they represent?

Not Mine. But the cursades were not as wonton as some folks think they were. In the beginning they were spured by Muslim aggression in the Holy Land.

I have yet to see a video of a bunch of Christians burning a muslim country's flag and pointing AK-47s in the sky, homicide bombing people on a bus or in a restaurant, or sawing off anyone's head. Even when they mention the prophet moe, it is always followed by (s.a.w.), which they will say means something else, but a saw is a saw. And before we get the argument about Timothy McVeigh and before we even go there, I would like to point out there are muslim/Iraqi connections, but that is another thread. Also, I have yet to see a gaggle of Christians protesting and wishing a 09/11 or another 07/11 would happen in a muslim country. And I have yet to see Christians in a mob cheering and dancing in the streets over a tsunami or earthquake or even this latest event, the ship that sank drowning a bunch of muslims en route to the hajj, or whatever it's called.

Did you see the peaceful, Westernized muslims, some would have us believe are "moderates" protesting the silly cartoon in London, wishing a 09/11 or repeat 07/07 would happen in London. Some were dressed as homicide bombers and a baby had a cap on that said "I love al-Qaeda." The footage was on cable news this morning. Nice and peaceful, Westernized, moderate muslims who enjoy all the freedoms London has to offer. Yessiree, you betcha.

I read that one of the guys who burned down the embassy got trapped on the roof and parished in the flams. Imagine that, burnning to death over a cartoon. I guess he thought 70 virgins was worth it.

Yes, I am disappointed that no one has risen up to lead the Muslims in reformation and into the
light of the 21st century...taking a risk here..but what Islam needs is more WOMEN! and women involved that would quench a lot of stupid
    testosterone.

</font>[/QUOTE]Yeah Right. You always see women out there on the streets in those protest. And half the suicide bombers you hear about are women. This has nothing to do with testosterone, and it is &lt;personal attack edited -LE&gt; of you to say it does. BTW, it was men who died and shed their blood to lead the Christian reformation.

    ok, question here...

If a muslim woman kills herself and others for the glory of allah, what does SHE get in the afterlife? 70 male virgins?

Man, I don't know how women could ever be muslims. They get a raw deal even in the afterlife...

(For those who don't recognize sarcasm, tongue was firmly planted in cheek).

    It's not all bad.

My wife and I have Muslim friends (a young married couple) who imigrated from the Gambia.
My wife works with the young lady at an Alzheimer's home.

The couple are professionals in their respective fields. We were invited to their house one day for dinner.

I asked them if they minded if I said a Christian prayer before the meal. They very cordially said it was fine. They did not attack us.

Very good food BTW - lamb and cous-cous.

We invited them over December 25th, 2005 for our Christmas dinner (no pork). They came. They were touched and surpised when we gave them a present. Especially the young lady. It was a wall clock and she said "we were just talking about getting a clock for our kitchen".

She now often asks my wife about Christianity. RE: The Trinity, etc.

Concerning the violence they say "They are not Muslims".

One the other hand I have had my life threatened ("you deserve to die") by other muslim folks I have witnessed to.
