OK, we're back to the elephant-in-the-room question none of the paganism boosters want to answer:

Why should I, a Christian, care what meaning is ascribed to a symbol by pagans?

Come on. Can someone point me to the rule saying that a symbol must mean the same thing to everyone?

Sheesh, talk about a tempest in a teapot. Ooooh, a Bible has a swirly thing on it! Booga booga, it's of Satan! The sky is falling! Stockpile weapons and head for the hills, the New World Order is gonna eat our brains!

There certainly is a difference of opinion as to the intent behind the name Christian. I offer this one for everyones consideration. As I searched all the ones I looked at consider the term to be used originally in a derogetory manner. Blessings

Well, then, since I don't care, I guess I'm the one obeying God here, aren't I?

Ezekiel 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekiel 33:4-5 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

False, false false! Someone quoted this from a website and it is an untruth. Wiccans did not exist before around 1950 and the there was no Wiccan female trinity before Christianity!!!! I get tired of saying this.

The site is obviously wrong about the Kabbalah as well, because the Kabbalah did not come into being until about 12 centuries after Christianity!! Kabbalists claim their documents are ancient, but no such documents existed until the 12th and 13th centuries. Here is my article (which was published) on the Kabbalah:
    http://cana.userworld.com/cana_Kabbalah1.html

So the statement above is pure hogwash. As Christians, we should care for the truth if we are to proclaim He who is truth.

    But marcia,

[sarcasm] Why should the truth get in the way of a good rant? Y'know...when you're all worked up over a "sin," and you're a-gettin' ready to deliver an invective from God Almighty...the truth can wait, sister!
    [/sarcasm] :D

I have a conviction from the Holy Spirit that the Wiccan "trinity" is actually ancient and that the Kabbalah long predates the 12th century. Bow to my superior knowledge, peasants!
