    Good Morning Everyone!

Well you learn something every day! I let T have a "mid life crisis" (his second!) back in the spring and he bought a Saturn Sky to use for a work vehicle. Really cool car.

Tomorrow, Cass turns sixteen. For a birthday treat, T is taking her to work with him today and then they're going to go see the new X-Files movie. Of course they have to take the new cool car, right?

So I'm watching them leave and the back tire looks a little low. T notices me squinting at it and asks what? I said the back tire looks low. He says "Nope, right here on my display it says that all tires have 26 lbs of pressure just like they are supposed to."

What??? Yep, Saturn has built tire pressure sensors into the car and tied them directly to the display.

I have pressure sensors on my Rendezvous, but they only trigger a warning light if something gets low and you have to walk around the car and decide for yourself which tire is the problem.

If his car was only an automatic, I'd trade with him!

Today, TLB and I will start on the first 7 of 29 cheerleading outfits we're making. At four Chris has to go help with the open class at karate. Sometime before 6 I have to show up there myself. Then tomorrow is testing.

Ya'll have a good weekend! Something tells me I won't be back for a while!

    (Edited only to correct typo.)

    Good morning all!

Preacher: I will be praying for Agee and BH to get better and also for a job for you. I know how it is 'cause DH has been off work for 2 months, but the doctor released him today and he is going back to work Monday! Woo Hoo!

Ann: Thanks for making the coffee. It was nice to just walk in and push a button. :)

Cindi: Men are just like little boys except their 'toys' cost more...

Time to grind something up for DH's afternoon 'snack'.

    HAGD!

Poor Agee! Maybe BH is just feeling bad for her.

Spent the morning at our church yard sale, they're raising money for two of the youth kids to go to Israel with their school. (not my kids, they ain't leaving the country without me, lol) It was outside in the parking lot, but there are a lot of trees so it was shady and rather nice!

Plus it's just fun to sit there a while with a big ol' box of money in front of you. LOL Even if it ain't yours, it just is a nice feeling because the sale was for donations, and it's neat to see people support the kids. Some gave way over, a couple way under, but over all most people gave fair amounts and that was encouraging to see. There's good people out there!

    Good Evening Everybody,

Thanks for the update luckyman, you and Gayla are still in our prayers.

Hey Cuz, Mid-Life Crises are great aren't they? By the time you reach that age they're not toys, but necessities, right?

Hey Joe, long time no see. How 'ya been bro?

Hasn't been too much going on here, we've been working in the garden, and enjoying the nice weather. We've had thunderstorms forcast for every day this week, but it's been dry as a bone.

Going to kick back and enjoy the weather before it decides to change.

Was that the 'vette that just went screaming by here?, it had three women in it and one looked like a redhead, now I know my Cuz wouldn't go by without stopping. Just wondering who the other two ladies were? Anybody want to 'fess up?

    Afternoon,
Things are still crazy here, but Agee says she ain't bothered by it. She knows who the real Physician is!
Actually I figure ole slewfoot has his hand in this too...BH does help me get the Word out on other boards...funny how folks don't want to hear a preacher...but will respond when a squirrel talks about her Creator!
BH has been eatin a little more, it may have more to do with the weather, tho we do manage to keep it cool inside. I do know she picks up on me or Agee when something is wrong, even tho she won't socialize with Agee anymore.
Well gotta run Agee to work...have a Blessed Day now!!

LOL Preacher - I haven't seen THAT ad just yet! :)

Good rainy morning everyone! I woke up to a loud clap of thunder - so I ran to close up the house. It's cool and rainy - a great blessing after last week's heat wave!

Today is yet another busy day. We have church and we're all going to the earlier service because my two little ones are some of the VBS kid singers (they'll be on stage during VBS to help lead the songs) and they're doing a few songs in church today. I'm also going to go to the first service so that I can start my shopping for VBS during the second service. I need to hit up Entenmann's to get 45 cakes, then go to Costco to pick up fresh stuff for the workers (cakes, cookies, milk, fruit, cheese, etc.) and then finally go to the grocery for a few more things (flavored creamers and the like). I'll then go back to church, unload, make up 5 gallons of iced tea and 15 gallons of lemonade, 80 cups of regular coffee and 60 cups of decaf (to be plugged in in the morning) and make sure I have all my supplies. Then tomorrow starts the big week! Please pray for all of us for safety and God's annointing on the week. There are a LOT of unchurched children who come to our VBS and we pray that lives are changed in this next week.

Well, off to shower and get the kids up. :) Have a blessed day!

Someone must have started another 'alcohol' thread! The ads are generated by the topic of the threads.

    Good morning all,

It is a cool 61º this morning and it feels good! I don't have time to fix breakfast but I did put the coffee on.

    Gotta run!

    HAGD!

    Good morning all,
I brought in some doughnuts- I needed a little sugar. Yes there are some made with splenda.
Luckyman you and Gayla are in my prayers.
One of my kiddos at work is facing some huge transitions. He is getting ready to have surgery and is going from daycare to school. He is very special to all the staff and change is horrible on him. Please keep C and his grandparents who are raising him in your prayers.
I got to go-you all have a blessed day!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Thanks for the breakfast Palagis Island Girl. Prayin' for C and his grandparents. :praying:

Ann, You never cease to amaze me with all you do Sis. There is an old saying that if you want something done - give it to a busy person.

Glad to hear that BH is feelin' better, preacher.

Hey Sue, are you goin' to know what to do when Dale goes back to work? The house might seem too quiet again, with just you fixin' up everything in sight during the day. Just kiddin' though, I wish I had your ability to do all you do and do well.

Had a great message at church today, and the music was especially meaningfull. Almost felt like the message was prepared just for me. Talk about goosebumps!

Going to take it easy this afternoon and watch some NASCAR before going back to church.

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

WOW!, this place is empty. I've been here for a few minutes and all I've seen is the security squirrel sittin' in the rocker on the porch, readin' a paper and eatin' pecans. He nodded at me when I walked by.

The weather here has been hot. In the 80s every day with a forcasted threat of rain that never developed.

Same old goin' on around here. My stress test, echogram and carotid doppler all came back fine. Don't want to say "I'm in good health though" that's when something jumps up and bites you, and I've been bit enough.

Think I'm going to go out and watch the Gkids in the pool [inflatable type], do some Bible Study, and sip some cold Diet Mt. Dew.

We're having Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Bacon Sage Brown Rice, with Cherry Cobbler for dessert tonight, so I made enough to leave in the oven here for whoever seems so inclined to nibble.

Hope everybody has a great day!

Yum! Thanks!! I LOVE cherry cobbler!

It's been CRAZY busy with VBS at church this week. I've been feeding close to 450 kids and over 150 workers plus whatever parents want to hang out. I was just about running out of food already so had to get more yesterday and it was only 2 days in!! But it's all going well - especially now that the very needy person working in the kitchen with me is off for 2 days. It was SO much more calm and peaceful today! ;)

I'm off to make dinner. My dad is coming for his birthday and today is a good day since we had nothing else going on. Nicole (16) has her choir clinic tonight at 7 so we'll eat a little early.

Hmmmm, have we had another alcohol thread? The ad at the top of the page is for Vodka??

Course it does remind me that I need to start my home made vanilla flavoring sometime this coming month. One or two vanilla beans split to a pint of vodka. Wait a few month until it has distilled into a nice brown color and use! (or bottle and give as gifts)

I agree about that coffee - we went through 120 cups of coffee today at VBS and I think I need to just start making it stronger! It's the last day and a very busy one at that so we all need as much energy as we can get. VBS will end at noon but they'll all be back at 6PM for the VBS Fair which is a whole other event for us! 700 people coming through for games, rides and lots of food. Looking forward to it!

I'm getting tired and decided on a splurge for us tonight. I'm going to get the kids to bed early because my daughter's choir camp ends at 8:30 rather than the 9:30 it's done all week. Once they're in bed, I bought a batch of ice cream for the big girls and I to eat - ALL of it. :D DH is going sailboat racing with the boys so we'll be home alone. Ahhhh - I can't wait!!

    Good morning all,
I just dropped by and it sure is quiet. I didn't even see the squirrel this morning. Oh well, here is some fresh fruit and cereal. The milk and juice is in the fridge. I am so ready to get back to work with kids. Our water lines are messed up at work so we had to close for a few days and at the same time get ready for the painters who decided to show up! I am tired of moving furniture. We are meeting this afternoon and putting the kitchen back together. Hopefully, the water will be on tommorrow and we can start back to work Monday. I had better grab some cereal for myself so I can get the laundry done before I head to work later.
    Y'all have a blessed day!
