This could start a bad trend of self mutilating shouters...

Shouldn't the case be against the Spirit if it was the Spirit that made him hit his head? The Church can always say "the spirit made him do it". We're not the Spirit.

I always said, "If the Spirit wants them to fall, why are the others catching them? If the Spirit is pushing them down, they ain't gonna get hurt."

Proves what spirit they are in when they get up and call their lawyer, eh?

But, the lawyer will probably win it for him. [IMG]

I'd like to see him prove that. Any witnesses can only say he fell down.

Considering the limited mentality of the people who make the decision to award money in lawsuits, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he won.

A good example of poor judgment is the lawsuit of a burgler. He broke into a warehouse through the skylight, fell and was injured. He sued the owner of the warehouse for $250,000 and WON!

Usually with the left it isn't about right or wrong but about need only and who has the deepest pockets to take care of that need. Not to mention they like to take care of their trial lawyers.

    FYI

If the Holy Spirit knocked him over, he would not be hurt. Soooooo, he could win that lawsuit against the church.

FYI... No where does the bible say the Holy Spirit knocks people down. It isn't of God at all.

When people were touched by the Lord and accepted that touch, in the Scripture, they fell forward... to their knees or to their faces.

    They did not fall backwards!

Falling back is a sign of apostasy.

There is a scripture, Book of Acts, which speaks of one Ananias and his wife Saphira who lied to the Holy Spirit. He killed them where they stood. Which way they fell is not clear. That they were surely dead and buried is clear.

Most of the antics of TV evangelism? will get one in trouble with The Spirit, The Holy--the one Who came to indwell the first Church (there were soon more) in Jerusalem. He still indwells them--not the least bit confused.

    Selah,

I was knocked down once. I thought it was the Spirit, but it turned out we were just late for the pot luck lunch and someone was in a hurry!

    Nowhere Donna?
    *****************

John 18-5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.
    ***************************

Who made these people fall over?

They weren't filled with the Spirit they were knocked down, repelled, because of their opposition to God.

Exactly. They didn't accept Him for who He truly was, The Son of the Living God!

    Another possible fall back:

The demoniac that met Christ who said, "What have we to do with Thee, Thou son of David? Art Thou come to torment us before the time?"

I believe when this demoniac saw the Christ, He recognized Him and fell back for a moment.

If more people accepted God's Word AS WRITTEN, 95% of this garbage would never see the light of day!!
