The Way may not be a cult, but they are a false religion. The Way is not Christian and members of The Way will go to hell. The Way does not believe in the trinity or that Jesus is God.

Are you sure you want to stand on this statement you have made?

Jesus made it clear that when Saul was persecuting people of the Way that Saul was persecuting Him. [Acts 9:1-5]

Of course I stand by what I said. The Way is a false religion. Why don't you comment on The Way's lack of belief in the trinity as Jesus as existing before his earthly birth?

You list in your profile that you are a Baptist. Is that true or are you part of The Way?

    Grain of Wheat,
Either you think that the group called "the Way" is the same one as Acts 9 or you think this false group is is the right group. Whichever of your thought processes is correct, you're wrong.

How do you know what I think? I never mentioned the modern group but used the term "people of the Way" which describes Christians in the book of Acts.
It is not good to make assumptions or bear false witness.

Christians were called people of the Way before they were called Christians. [The book of Acts.]
I guess you have just called Jesus and Luke wrong and I'm honored to be associated with them.

I don't even know about some modern "false religion" calling itself the Way.

Jesus is THE WAY, THE Truth, and the Life. [John 14:6]
Jesus is the Way and I'm one of His servants. That makes me a person of the Way.

Then maybe you ought to learn more before you attack people. The group that is called "The Way" is a false teaching group. That is who all of us were talking about. None of us are calling Jesus or Luke wrong.

Well, you would think that when I made the statement, "The Way does not believe in the trinity or that Jesus is God." some red flags would have gone up in your head. I specifically made sure to identify the group I was talking about by listing a couple of their beliefs.

I've mentioned those beliefs in two postings and you've ignored them. Something still smells fishy to me.

OK Thanks, Primitive Baptist churches do tend to be small. They usually don't have Sunday School and don't support the modern missionary movement.

I never attacked anyone but challenged positions and statements on this thread with Bible references.
It should have been clear from my references to the book of Acts that my statements were talking about being linked to the early Church through Jesus. I even used [Acts 9:1-5] in my postings.

My time is spent studying the Word of God and not keeping up with false religions because I only have so much time in a day.

You must not spend much time reading the posts you reply to either, considering I clearly identified the reasons The Way is a false religion and that should have let you know we were talking about something other than what is mentioned in Acts.

If you go back and read my comments in response to post #42 in this thread you would see that my 2 statements about judgement were derived from Bible verses so my reference to people of the Way was also based on the Bible and not some modern false religion.
I had the true the people of the Way on my mind and others on this thread automatically assumed another.

The Way in the book of Acts is not a false teaching group and that is the references that I used in my postings.

I'm glad you did not mean that Luke or Jesus is wrong.

We've both assumed things based upon each other's posts that maybe we shouldn't have. Let's let bygones be bygones...

Thank you for the nice compliment.

Jesus told me that I'm the salt of the earth and I'm honored to be one of his grains of salt.

As believers we should all be light and salt in this world. I meant that we should be skeptical of your claims -- that we should take your remarks with a dash of salt. We are the ones who need to add a pinch of salt to your comments.

In post 43 you mentioned the way with no scripture reference. In post 59 you attacked my calling based on your use of the way(in post 43) with no scripture reference. So from the start nothing about it has been clear and the term the way is not common.

My 1st statement is from Romans 14:4
My 2nd statement is from James 4:12
Whether or not I gave references in #43 the statements still are from the scriptures.

My postings FOLLOWING #43 gave references from the book of Acts for the people of the Way because people including you questioned the term "The Way". Did you read any of my postings following #43?
I guess I was wrong to think that people on this forum knew the book of Acts and that early Christians were called The Way and people of the The Way.
May God's blessings be on all who believe that Jesus is Lord.
