Spear - I told you your mind and heart would catch up with each other soon.

Just to let you know, we took our family of 6 including a 2 year old and 3 month old to Florida from NY by plane to buy a new sailboat then sail it from Tampa, down through the Florida Keys and up to Fort Lauderdale. I never left the boat for the whole 10 days - sailing with a 2 year old and 3 month old. So if I can do that, you guys can certainly travel too. LOL

We may not be a congregation and we may not have a pastor and we may not follow the guidelines of a church, but we ARE brothers and sisters in Christ. Don't sweat the scripture that you cited.

As Menageriekeeper said, we all understood what you were saying.

    Spear...

Your two daughters are going to be absolutely THRILLED with this new little one coming into your family!

You will be beaming with pride at how they take to their new little sister. (or brother.)

My oldest was fiercely protective of her baby sister and wouldn't let her out of sight for weeks! I didn't have to worry about leaving the baby alone--big sis thought she was mama #2!

I love you, brother, and I wish you well and am/will be praying for you... but I am so glad it was you and not me. :D

Actually, we took measures to make sure we didn't have any more after the last one. That's not to say that God can't show his sense of humor and regrown/undo what was done. If He does I will blame Him for the harm I will go do to a certain doctor who told me there was no chance of that happening. ;)

If it did happen to me I would be shocked and upset at first. I would also be spending some serious extra time in prayer and would be calling on the prayer warriors in my life to help me. Once God settled me and my heart down I would be doing exactly what all these fine folks are advising. yes, it is a bit scary when you already have everything planned out and something like this happens, but that's part of the surprise of life. My former supervisor became a father again when his youngest was 21! He would be the first to tell you that he wouldn't trade his daughter for the world... even though she has an uncle older than her. :D

    Oh, and congratulations.

I am 11 years older than my brother. I can't imagine not having had him in my life.
My father was 58 when my brother left for college.

    Hi !

Our son, Thomas, was born on 29th October, after a looooong day of work for my wife. Hopefully i was with her as she did'nt have the right to have drugs, so she had the baby let's say " like 30 years ago ". Since then, i thanked God every day for the great blessing he gave us in the person of little Thomas. I nearly cried today as i saw him do what seemed to be a smile.

Thank You Lord, once again, you took me in Your ways, even if i was scared, Your will was done, and at the end, a wonderful, amazing gift.

I want to thank the brothers and sisters here for you support.

    Your brother,

    Mathias

    Welcome to the world, Thomas!

Babies are simply amazing, no matter how many worries we have about their arrival!

Congratulations on your blessing, brother. A son - how cool!! You will love your son so much. They are very different than daughters. Daughters are amazing too but watching my husband and my son together - it's just amazing. :) I'm smiling SOOO wide for you.

May God richly bless Thomas in ways that you never thought possible. May your family be enriched tremendously by his presence and may he grow to be a great man of God.

I think it would actually be better to validate his feelings. It's okay to feel these kinds of thing. At some point, it becomes a problem, but it takes time to deal with this stuff.
