    This whole thing makes me uneasy. I'm sure many of you here have a better idea than I do on this situation. But did Caner tell any outright lies - or is he more guilty of exaggeration? I think in this situation there is a difference.

    Elmer Towns, co-founder of the University, said previously, "It's not an ethical issue, it's not a moral issue. We give faculty a certain amount of theological leverage." Do you hear what he's saying? Repeatedly making factually contradictory statements (what my parents might have called habitually lying) is "theological leverage."

    As one gets far from God he gets closer to sin and is unable to be sensitive to the intrusion of sin.
