and it was fascinating. Couldn't remember the man's name, so tonight I googled.

Here's the web site about the fascinating story:

Has anyone else heard of this man or seen him in person or seen the video?

Lu 16:26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'

1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

I don't believe people 'die' and then God asks them if they want to go back. This fella also claims he talked face to face with God.

I have never believed those that claim to have had near-death experiences. I think it is a result of the trauma coupled with the medications they are given (some are very halucinagenic (sp?)). If they do not believe Moses or the Prophets, they will not believe even though one came back from the dead.

But, whatever the cause: Can you imagine the opportunity to preach the GOSPEL and give an INVITATION after that testimony?

He certainly is aiming higher than my grandmother, who only claimed a conversation with Simon Petrus after her near death experience.

Trauma yes, medications no. Plenty of cases of near death experiences where the persons having them weren't medicated.

I have also read some in which the people were heavily medicated. I will have to look for my sources again as it has been quite a while since reading them.

Ofcourse. However almost dying is enough to trigger near death experiences.

Ladyeagle I was at a church in London where this Ian McCormack was the guest speaker one evening a couple yrs ago. (just to say, it wasn't my church at the time, I was visiting with my uncle who goes there- it isn't my sort of church at all)

Anyway, I didn't get a good feeling about this guy straight from the off and his account of being stung by jellyfish and almost dying but coming back, having recieved a way out there vision, definetley didn't line up with scripture. I personally guess that his experiance was all in his brain and was probably a result of the poison of the jellyfish.

I imagine that this guy gives his testimony at many of these emotional kick type churches where he will be well recieved. When I saw him, many people there was hollering and whistling and clapping and praising what he was saying, and yet I doubt if many of them gave the slightest thought to the fact that what he said contradicted scripture. (Rich man and lazarus account) In those types of environments, who cares right? In these types of churches, experiance usually overshadows the clear presentation of scripture on these subjects unfortunately

I heard several stories of near death experinces. Difficult to believe their stories. Most in cases, as what they saying, that they saw 'tunnel'. They telling the same thing about 'tunnel'.

I am sure that most of them are not fact.

But, my old deaf friend told, when she was in her mother's womb, ready to delivery her to birth at the hospital in the labor room. Her mother died during labor. Mother said, her soul went to the heaven, and she heard about 12 or more men sat round around Jesus Christ sits on the throne. They were discuss about the baby in mother's womb, what's do with the alive baby? Mother heard Christ's voice, and He said, "Your daughter will be sick often when she growing up, now back to earth." Mother returned to her body, and she alive again, then her daughter born safety. Two years later, daughter became very sick almost death, but she did get relieved again, but she become deaf. In the rest of her lifetime, she sick very often. I did notice her sick often many times. I told her, that over 12 men sit round around Jesus Christ must be 24 elders round around Christ of Revelation chapter 4!

I know there are much debate if these experinces or testimony of their near death experince are false or true.

I only know Hebrews 9:27 well, It tells us, it is ONCE for all people to die after the judgement. There is no turn around or back from death. It is already reserved.

    I agree with Hebrews 9:27.

But, I think, God have his good reasons, purpose, and His will for person, that God is an omniscience, He knows everything in the future what will happen to person. Also, God already know who will be saved as 'elect'.

When I was 4 years old. I climbed up on the tree about 40 feet high. When I was on the tree, my mother ran down and yelled to me in sign language, said, "Get down now, please!" I did not climbing down, I just jump off from the tree. I fell down, I can well remember, when I land on the ground, I feel my head hit the ground so softly or gentile. I shut my eyes when I landed on the ground. My mother brought me to the hosptial. 4 Hours later, I woke up, I feel NO pain, no stitches, no broken bones! I get off the bed and walk home on the very same day! I am no kidding, I am serious! It was miracle!

About 18 years ago, mother told me, she saw an angel appeared hold me down on the ground safety. What a miracle!

I believe God chosen me as elect that He already know the future that I will become Christian. I accepted Christ on August 17, 1988.

God have his good reasons, purpose, his will, for any person in His sovereignty of his plan.

We better be careful not to ask God, "Why?" Accept God's will. Have faith in Him.

Probably SOME of near death experince might be true story, in the result of them, they actual became Christian, and to share people about hell and heaven. God have his reason for any individual as God's elect.

My mother told me many times, She said, "You are so special!" Mother is right. Everybody are so special, God have plan for everyone. But, they make their own decision and choice to believe or not. God cannot force them to became saved. Actual, God does not want all people go to hell, He desire all come to repentance - 2 Peter 3:9.

I don't know if any near-death experince stories are true or not. But, more important that we must depend on our faith only without sight. Have believe what God's Word saying so.

And of course, more important that everyone must make decision of their lifetime before too late. No way for a person escape from hell, once soul already enter it, is struck there forever and ever according Heb. 9:27.

Hey, when we preaching or teaching at the church, we better NOT discuss or mentioned about near-death experince testimonies. More important that we must telling them about heaven and hell, and also salvation too. But, no way that we can avoid it, IF a perso who attend baptist church want to share of person's own experince. But, It is very, very rare to hear a baptist in the church to share about experince of near-death experince.

So, don't worry it. Focus on God's Word only, telling them what the Bible says so.

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

2 Cor. 12:1, "Boasting is necessary, though it is not profitable; but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a man was caught up to the third heaven. And I know how such a man--whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows-- was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses."

Many years ago I read a book by a doctor who became a Christian after he began to investigate a number of near death experiences while people were in surgery and after surgery was nearly over. He interviewed them shortly after they had these experiences. As a result he realized that some people would describe a heaven experience and other a hell experience. The book is To Hell And Back by Dr. Maurice Rawlings.
