Does God have A General/Specific Will Towards Sinners Then?

    Does he view those lost in their sinful state in "2" ways?

    He has a general Will, based upon his very nature, to love them, as he created them, and has His image on them...

    He also has a specific Will, towards those he has chosen to elect/save out from all of those in His general Will...

    God so loved the World General love, His very nature, gave to atone for entire World His only begotten Son

    Those he foreknew he predestined to be confirmed into image of his Son Specific Will

    Can God have "2 wills" and would this answer Why bible seems to say at times "whole World' other "His elect"?

    Actually....this is not taught anywhere in the bible. It is God's will that multitudes get saved,and multitudes perish.

    God is very willing that many perish.

    He is not willing that any he died for perish however.All of them will be saved.

    He has a both a general and specific will for ALL men and has made it know...

    Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:​

    Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.​

    Iconoclast, this has already been debated ad-nausea here. You allow your so called "named theology" to cloud your interpretation. Sorry Iconoclast, but I'll take the verse at face value. "All" means all. And, no this does not lead to "universalism." And yes, I do "get it." And yes, I am a born again believer even though I don't agree with you.

    Yes..all means all here...exactly...now if you look at the context you will see it is the to-usward, the beloved, in contrast to the unbelieving scoffer.

    The all that is being spoken of will be saved.Not one will perish, because God has decreed it.

    Opposing interpretation methods;

    Understand a verse in it's context,both the chapter, the book, and the bible; then declare that truth faithfully

    or

    Wrench the passage out of its biblical and theologigal context,assign any feel good meaning to the passage, ignore context..and then just say..... well my bible says.....
