We had a similar mess in '08 with Anderson and Quinn. I'm not envious of Denver :)

The biggest thing going against Tebow other than his lack of QB skills is the fact this regime is not attached to him, i.e. he was not Fox's guy.

I think he would make an excellent Hillis type RB.

you may have a point....when they drafted Eli Manning the Giants organization was completly behind him.....though his skills as a QB were certainly questionable (at the time) ....grooming, grooming, grooming..... I still find him only adequate but the Mara org sticks by him insisting he is a pedigree. It will be interesting to see how Buriss performs for the Jets @ the Meadowland Vs Giants. I really am more interested in Penn State though.

You are correct, if Eli's last name was Smith, he would be viewed as an adequate NFL caliber QB, not a super star as he is portrayed. They may have even drafted Tebow last year to compete with Eli Smith :)

I like Tebow as a person...but he is painful to watch playing QB. He reminds me of Merril Hoge when he tucks the ball and runs...that is what he needs to be focusing on, a career as a RB

Fox may be seeing something that the previous regime did not in both cases (Quinn and Tebow). Truthfully, I think both are over-hyped. I still maintain Fox will have some 'splainin to do if Tebow is tossed to the curb (I don't see that happening).

I wonder what Mr. Elway thinks now that he's helping run the show? Do you want Tebow learning the QB position from Orton? Will Fox give Orton the shot? Is Quinn having another blip on what's been a lackluster career at best?

By the way, there's more to Eli Manning than the numbers. Any disciple of David Cutcliffe is worth it. The intagibles they bring to the QB position is far beyond the stat sheet, which is why he is held in such high esteem.

Anyway, today's the day for the supplemental draft. Should be fun to see what happens.

Boy, some things just don't change, do they? :)

One of these days, Oakland will get one of these right. A 3rd or 4th round pick isn't a bad thing to give up, I suppose.

Classic Al Davis move. I'll take him. If he does become a QB, he at least works hard and Al Saunders isn't too bad a QB coach to work with. He could also convert to WR or TE. Time will tell.
