I have also called many times into local radio shows, both liberal and conservaitve, and the experience is pretty much standard with the call screeners.

Rush many times specifically requests people holding opposing views call in. He enjoys Hannitizing...er rather trying to convert them from liberals to conservatives.

Greetings Ken,

You reproduced a quote I made, and in that quote, I was specifically addressing a statistic that was contained in my quote. On numerous occasions you have seemingly indicated a belief that popularity mandates accuracy, but I was specifically commenting about a specific statistic that I very clearly identified. I did not say anything about a "nationwide" number, and neither did the person who initially posted those numbers.

But thanks for that input. Another point worth noting is that AirAmerica has far fewer affiliates than EIB, don't they?

I do have one question though: the GOP controls the Senate, the House, the White House, and has appointed more Justices to the Supreme Court. Please correct me if I am wrong, but they also control more governors' mansions across the country. Yet, if you listen to Rush every day as I have, he does not exhibit any joy or happiness. Put another way, Rush is seemingly always mad. The same actually goes for Sean Hannity too. The only attempts at being funny I have ever heard are mean-spirited cries of "loser."
What is the source of all this anger? After all, in their politically-polarized world, their side won......

Hope you have a great week,
BiR

</font>
And you chastized me for calling you what you are. You are aligned with the leftist Democrats, no matter what you call yourself. If you want to call yourself a liberal Republican, you may, but it still holds true that you align yourself with Ted Kennedy's side.

What in the world are you talking about?

Abject fatuity, nothing more. You are making quite an assertive assumption about someone you don't even know.

Um....yeah.....okay.....what?
Yes, I am very much a LIBERAL Republican, and I wear that moniker proudly. Thanks for stating the obvious though, just in case anyone out there missed it. I don't know how you equate me with Ted Kennedy, except that this is a textbook Rush Limbaugh tactic - identify anyone who possesses an opposing view with someone on the fringe. Don't forget: I listen to him too, hillclimber.

I am a little disappointed in you, hillclimber: I thought you were better than that.........

Regards,
BiR (the LIBERAL Republican)

No, not at all. Notice where I heard him reciting the talking points from the GOP website. I also remember when he used to make fun of Ted Kennedy's alcoholism.

OOPS!

Sorry, Joseph: I didn't notice this post.
:confused:
I thought you told me that you don't listen to Hannity on the radio, and that you were coming up with the ideas you share with Hannity on your own. I cannot find that discussion now, but I recall you typing that to me.

Regards,
BiR

</font>
No. I said I don't listen to Rush as I am at work while he is on. I was at home while Hannity is on. Are you trying to slander me by implying that I am a liar? How judgemental and rude of you.

BTW,

My thoughts are my own. I sometimes agree with Hannity, and sometimes, I have publicly disagreed with him on this very board. Your typical liberal talking point that all conservatives are too dumb to have an idea of their own is really getting old, and is merely part of the reason your side continues to lose BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep it up for at least another 4 years.

This is abject foolishness on your part, Joseph.

Here is my post again:

Now, notice that I said that I "thought" you wrote that to me, didn't I? As EVERYONE can see, I said that in a manner to imply that I really couldn't remember, didn't I? The answer is no: I DID NOT imply that you are a liar. Please do me a favor and stop bearing false witness.

Have a great week,
BiR

Limbaugh's editorial opinions are no more absurd than the opinions that ABC, NBC, CBS, and the cable networks have been proclaiming as "news" for the past several decades. Limbaugh just happens to be shouting from the oh-so-politically incorrect "Right," while the networks are broadcasting from the pseudo-intellectual "Left." Is Limbaugh right or wrong? That's another question altogether. Personally, I would not say some of the things he does. But some things he says, I would say even louder.

Actually, the networks are broadcasting from the Central - I haven't seen anything "leftist" from them lately.

True. And liver cancer is no more desirable than a brain tumor.

If Limbaugh were promoting conservative policy I'd applaud him. Instead, he supports GW Bush, and the GOP in their liberal, leftist politics.

Now that the GOP is in power, we see their true face...somewhere to the left of the Democrats, judging by the policies that they implement.

And even if I did...so what? I don't bow down to your country and never will. Empty threats and "how dare you" comments are pointless. BTW...I never did "cast aspersions on the National Guard".
