Did anyone else see this? I was astounded when I saw it last night.

Minutes after Fox News predicted Ohio was going to Obama, Karl Rove was openly questioning the prediction. He claimed to have inside information from the secretary of state of Ohio, "because the servers are jammed" that showed Romney was only 911 votes behind Obama with 77% of the vote counted. Fox News had called Ohio for Obama with 74% of the vote counted and with a lead of 20,000+ votes. Rove was trying to say that Ohio was still in play despite the fact that most of the uncounted votes left to tally were from Cuyahoga county, a heavily skewed Democrat area.

Fox news anchors were flabbergasted and kind of ridiculed Rove (deservedly so.)

Eventually they sent one of the anchors down the hallway on camera to the "Decision Desk" where the election nerds do their work. Once there the nerds told Rove he was wrong. Great TV.

Yeah, that was an interesting TV moment. Karl was grasping at straws.

Yep, watched it. I think Rove was hoping for another 2000 - living back in his glory days. What upset me about Fox's coverage is they totally ignored the importance of FL. They kept going on and on about OH, but Romney losing FL was by far the bigger story. And losing FL cost him the election, even if he had pulled out OH. It's like they had rehearsed so much on OH (because that's what everyone was expecting to be the key state) that they weren't prepared to talk about FL, which was the biggest story of the election, in my opinion.

Look at the video in the second link and come up with an appropriate adjective other than 'flabbergasted' to describe their reaction.

Rove couldn't stand it that all his SuperPAC money could not buy the office of President of the United States.
