    In the OT ...
God's Spirit spoke to God's "chosen people" through His anointed prophets (and occasional king).

    In the NT ...
God's Spirit spoke to God's people through His anointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers.

    Presently ...
God's Spirit speaks to God's people through His anointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers.

Don't know who or where any apostles are, but they are whoever is Spirit-anointed to set up and organize churches.
The words "apostle" and "prophet", like multitudes of other things, have been drummed out of the churches.

This is thanks to Satan and men who would much rather keep all of church control to demselves!
Dis should be so obvious to anyone having the Holy Spirit that it's almost laughable.

    Hmmm....

The Lord doesn't change, eh? Well, tell that to all of the women and children in the old testament that God commanded to be slaughtered and then go out and preach the New Testament gospel.

    :godisgood: Yeah... Right!

In the OT God required circumcision.
If that were the requirement in the NT then no female could be saved, could they? Only men were circumcised, and therefore circumcision would only be extended to men.
Does God change his ways? Absolutely!

jesus said that was what the HS would be doing here on earth when he came...

Was Jesus wrong, or did he need 'further revelation knowledge?"

Word of knowledge does not take away or add to the written word! They are usually given on a personal level!

But you need to dig a little deeper! The Holy Spirit does that and soooo much more!

he did them to be signs to his identify, as the King coming among them, that the Kingdom was at hand, in their midst!

Jesus also said MORE blessed are they that hear and believe, and whodo not see!

Don't need to see miracles/signs/wonders to believe, do you?

Where does it say that Jesus just speaks to us through His written word?

the HS comes to direct all attentions towards Jesus, NOT himself!

Your theology makes Him a ring master in churches, showing off to get attention to himself, and to mere men!

But I do not limit him to His Word! His Spirit speaks to my spirit! Jesus is still alive and speaks to us...never will he contradict His written word.

What does Romans 1:17-20 say to you?

I agree! I have never seen a miracle! Yet I still believe He works the same way He did! I did not need a miracle to believe in Jesus! But since I know Him...I believe in all that He has done and what he is doing now!

he cannot be working today just s he did in NT times, for you would have already seen many miracles if that were true!

If you understood much of anything about the OT, you would know that ...

Almighty God had to PROTECT and PRESERVE His much-less-than mighty tribe of Israel,
who was up against much more powerful enemies than they could possibly handle.

Gee, why all of that protection, i.e. the slaughtering and discouraging of Israel's enemies?

His Messiah-Redeemer-Savior was destined to come out of the loins of Israel.

P.S. Calling yourself Billy Sunday is a disgrace! ... Billy knew a thing or two.

Let's say between 100 and 1900, the Holy Spirit has not been welcome in 95+% of all churches.
Satan and man have seen to that.
I know you've heard the Holy Spirit is a perfect Gentleman.
Thus, He doesn't hang around where He is not welcome.

But, in these last of the last days, the Lord desires that He be made more readily available.

    I have seen close-up and first-hand:
miracles, healings, demons cast out, all 9 of the spiritual power gifts.

Truly, sometimes even an immediate answer to urgent prayer can almost be seen as a miracle.

Sorry, I've not seen anyone raised from the dead.

Why don't you read my testimony?
It seems no one here believes it at all ... maybe you would.
