    I have received a few email invitations to join LinkedIn. Are any of your pastors members of this business network? If so, tell me how it has helped you, or has not helped you. I have ignored all the invites so far.

    I use LinkedIn but it is just a thing to have. I don't do anything with it.

    The system has little usefulness imho and is kind of annoying with all the emails and such. It has helped in a few networking situations, but only in a limited role. :)

    Its a good question.

    I'm in LinkedIn and am not sure if it's a help so far, except that it helps me learn the qualifications and so forth of various people I know. If I decide to look for a new position it might help me, but I think just sending a resume is much better than LinkedIn.

    I do get job descriptions at LinkedIn based on my job history, but it may be a welding job (did that 38 years ago!) or a job at a United Methodist church (no way!) or even with the 7th Day Adventists or JWs! :laugh:

    Thanks for the input. I think I am going to pass on the invites. Can't really see any benefit in it for me.
