BTW, I am not a single issue voter... but rather a "priority of issues voter". In direct proportion to the importance of the right, I vote for politicians based on their commitment to protecting God given rights. Since life is the foundational, fundamental right, a politician who refuses to protect the right to live cannot have my vote since I have no reason whatever to trust they will respect any other right.

Wow, so if a woman is raped in South Dakota, and gets pregnant by her rapist, then she has no choice but to have that child.

Wow.........

BiR, for what crime would you sentence the baby to death?

I wouldn't.
It is not my decision to make.
The parties alone are accountable.

No, but ectopic pregnancy is a good example of permitting nonelective abortions (while banning elective abortions). If an EP is discovered early, then terminating the pregnancy is a reasonable decision. It need not have to wait until the expectant mother hemhorrages and goes to the hospital.

Psalm 127:3. Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb, His reward.

1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 What? Know ye know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own, for ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Those that say they have a right over their body, that it belongs to them, are in contradiction to the above verses.

One has no right to abort a baby, no matter what the situation. Children are given of the Lord.

What kind of country would we be if we did not provide a safe place for people to murder their children?

Davidb

I have the answer for kids without a home. Why dont we just kill them. Go into the orpanages and any kid who is unwanted, we just take them to the Dr. and have them put down. After all we already have so many children with out homes and what better solution then to kill the children.

whether it was Islamic terrorists is debatable from videos I have seen. True the Muslims hate the christians, but has anyone seen the video 'In Plane Sight'?

back to the abortion thread. Abortion is murder. Why not teach abstinence and institute strict laws against sexual relations outside of marriage? Not just for women, but for men as well? I am not saying stone them, of course. But if there were strict penalties for such actions, people would not be as quick to commit such sinful acts.

That would stop abortions, or at least retard them considerably.

Just a thought...

Probably the first time SFiC and I compleatly agree. Even if I dont know what he is talking about in the first sentance.

 I must have missed something.

Since when do we make laws based on the argument that we should make something legal because if we dont make it legal then people will do it anyway.

By that logic we should make other forms of murder legal and robbery. We should make all drugs legal because people will do them anyway and people get hurt by useing used underground needles so make heroin legal.

Christians should make moral judgements based on Gods Word. And Gods word is not silent on this issue.

“You shall not murder
Exodus 20:13

Another thing that would considerably slow abortions underground or not is is we prosicuted people who participated in them like we do other murders. It is not good enough to just say abortions are illegal. Anybody who participates in an abortion in any way should be prosicuted in the same way as anybody else who murders children.

The fact is unborn children are alive and they are human. And when we take an innocent living human and kill them unjustifiably it is murder.

What about those who do not agree with you? After all, they are the ones who must answer for their actions, not you and not me.

Should we leagalize everything then. What about people who disagree with me about child abuse, or drug use, or rape, being wrong.

Should we leagalize rape, after all it will be the rapest that answers for his actions not you or me?

Sound reasonable?

Hey, no problem: if that is what you want, then it's fine by me.
Are you planning on adopting any of those children?

If the Lord lays it on my heart to adopt a child I would love to.

In fact I can see my self having adopted children. I would love to. One thing I know for sure is I will not be killing children. And I dont see as how the question of if I would like to adopt has any berring on the murder of children.

Should we kill homeless people? If not are you going to adopt them into your home?

</font>
It does not matter who on this earth they disagree or agree with. God's Word is true. He says, 'Thou shalt not kill', I know He meant it. He said that our bodies were bought and we do not own our bodies, I believe it.

Would you like your son or daughter to get nose, eyebrow, tongue, or any other body parts pierced? or have hooks stuck in their backs and hung from the ceiling by wires and the hooks?

You would stop it, whould you not? Or at least express your displeasure that such actions were taken?

Well God has not only expressed displeasure, but also forbidden murder. He did not say thou shalt not kill adults only, He said Thou shalt not kill. Covers every man, woman, child, and fetus.

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb His reward. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.

</font>
If an EP is discoverd early, then the doctor should bring the mother in for surgery, if he can save the baby, then he should, but if the baby dies in the process, then at least he tried. I don't think anyone would expect a mother who has an EP to wait untill she hemhorrages to go to the hospital to be treated.

Killing the baby shouldn't be the goal of any surgery, trying to save both the baby and the mother should be the goal, if the baby dies in the process of trying to save it during a EP procedure, that is not an abortion.

An abortion is when an abortionist's goal is to murder the baby!

Amen, JGrubbs.

Funny, Doctors take that Hippocratical oath to preserve life and then suck the life out of innocent babies.
