Look at this article by GOP big wig, Bill Kristol - LINK.

Notice that his concern is the electoral affect on the GOP if it doesn't go along with amnesty for illegal aliens and not about enforcing our laws to protect our country from folks coming across our borders illegally.

That's what one gets today when voting for the elites that run the GOP - how to keep their power, not about how to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities.

Ken's response: No one has any idea so this should not factor in to how one votes.

You can only speak to this firsthand Ken. You can not speak for anyone else. This truth is not available to you because of your unbelief.

Yes. it supports my theory that this issue is devised to split the GOP. The Dems have little concern over moral issues and are going to vote the party line regardless of the issues. This is probably THE ISSUE the dems have wanted for years.

I'm listening, hillclimber. Tell me within five years of the year that Jesus will return.

Put up or shut up, buddy. Put up or shut up.

By the way, hillclimber, since you stated that I am in unbelief, are you claiming that I am going to Hell?

Had they done so, I think they could have won the White House. I am glad they didn't though. :D

Well, that leaves out the Democrats, Republicans and the Constitution Party. Who did you end up voting for?

The lesser of two evils is still evil. Are we right to vote for evil of any sort? </font>
You are right...which is one reason I could never vote for the Constitution Party because they were, in my mind, the most evil with their immoral isolationist policies.

Let me ask you a question: If your options are to either vote for the lesser of two evils or the greater of two evils, which do you choose? </font>
Neither - I vote for a candidate whom I can support. </font>
Which righteous and holy candidate did you vote for?

If such a candidate existed, I would vote for him. Unfortunately, in 2004, he didn't. Therefore, I voted for the best of all the candidates: President George W. Bush.

I clarified my statement concerning your unbelief.

You say you're a believer, and I have no opinion about that, except we are to judge by a persons deeds, but really only the Lord knows for sure.

If I had to guess I would say you are a nominal believer, but I hate to say that to anyone in case they are not believers at all and I would be contributing to their false belief. On the other hand there are many people I know that show great love for the Lord and their salvation is written all over them. And there are many that claim salvation that I'm fairly certain are fooled, because their own mouths testify against them.

I do know you purposefully refuse to understand much of the scripture the Lord intended for you.

By nominal, I mean one is saved by the blood of Christ, but does not grow up in Him.

I believe it is against the posting rules for me to have answered this question, if I believed you were not saved. So you were baiting me, which is also against the rules, I think. [IMG]

And I think that you, hillclimber(whose salvation I do not doubt), are entrapped by believing a false doctrine and are puffed up by your false understanding to the point that you think you are superior to other Christians who don't believe your false eschatology.

Now, to the subject at hand, I will vote for whom I think will make the best president for the United States. I voted for George W. Bush twice and now it is apparent that I was wrong twice. And those are the only two votes I have cast since I started voting in 1974 that I regret casting.

I voted for Bush twice because he was the best candidate both times.

I thought he was too, Joseph. I thought he was, too.

I apologize for those two votes, America. [IMG] [IMG]

Are you saying that you wish you had voted for Gore or Kerry? Or that you wish you had thrown away your vote on a 3rd party candidate? Or not voted?

It wouldn't matter one bit. Vice President Gore had many more votes in 2000 than the governor of Texas, but look who is sitting in the Oval Office. It isn't popular vote that matters, it is the votes of the members of the Electoral College.

I wish that I had voted for a minor party candidate in 2000 and 2004.

George W. Bush won Arkansas easily in both elections. So even under your snobbish belief that I would have been "throwing away my vote" by not voting for one of the candidates of the Demopublican Party, my vote would not have affected the outcome in Arkansas.

I still think he was. I am not the least bit sorry for that vote and I don't apologize America vote those two votes. As a matter of fact, I am downright proud of my votes. [IMG]
