I don't know, exhorting people to attend a fellowship, fishing...I think a correlation can be drawn.

Think of those who read this thread seeking advice on the matter.

And...is there an Outback by a river we could meet at?

    I'll bring an extra pole...

    God bless.

Thats your ....... oh, ok.....ha ha ha.

So how about this one.....I tell a Fundy pastor that I'm a DoG believer......he ceases to return my calls. Or early on I tell another pastor who is 5 points that I don't understand or think I can accept limited attonement so he tells me to go elsewhere.......now I'm just getting warmed up.

    And...?

I am sure there can be nothing in your actions that tipped these guys off you might be a little...antagonistic?

I told an atheist I thought his views were dishonest and would you believe it...he got mad at me.

Told a charismatic he was Looney tunes and wouldnt ya know it, yup, he got mad too. How"ya guess?

Told a Cathjolic he taught demon doctrine and was leading his entire family to Hell. Yup...got mad.

    What's wrong with those people?

Darned if I'm fellowshipping with those guys, they certainly know nothing about the love of Christ!

    :saint:

EW&F, from all the posts you have made regarding your interactions with various church leaders and members over the years:

You have consistently characterized them (all these leaders and members) being in the wrong over a number of issues.

You have never acknowleged that maybe you have jumped the gun at times. You have probably been unwise in judging them too quickly.

You haven't given them the benefit of the doubt.

    You usually characterize them negatively.

From your posts you seem very confrontational --as if you are grabbing them at the collar and demanding capitualation to your beliefs in all particulars. You do have a your way or the highway kind of approach.

In other words a bit more flexibility on lesser matters would be a good idea.

Many worthwhile churches, fellowships, assemblies, gatherings are not Primitive Baptist.

Conversations at bars is no replacement for the above.

Well, it is not surprising that leadership of fellowships might consider the welfare of their congregation and not try too hard to bring someone that may come across as looking for a fight.

Mormons walk away for the same reason. I can't blame them. Doesn't mean they aren't sincere or don't care, its more a matter of understanding we can't change hearts. Like my discussions with Mormons, without stating it specifically, both parties understand I am not a good candidate for their assembly.

I've seen my own Pastor voice that he doesn't waste his time debating with atheists, for example. I'm the polar opposite, but then, shepherds don't make sheep...

    ...sheep make sheep.

You may come across a bit wolfish to some.

    God bless.
