My husband and I will be going to the middle school tomorrow for "See You At The Pole". As far as I know we may be the only adults representing this at our childrens local school. If any of you are interested in this and don't know much about it go to the web site at www.syatp.com . We have never done this before and really feel a need to be there this year. We are trying to make an impact in our local schools and with our local youth. Please students, if you have heard about this at your local school attend and join together in prayer.

Even if you can not attend or go to a local school... parents please pray for your schools, the students, the teachers, the school administrators, anyone you can think of who is involved with your local schools, also pray for the childrens parents. We will also be praying for our city, our state, and the United States Of America. The President and our Nations leaders. The war on terror, our people at war.

At the end of our prayer time we are planning on reciting the "Pledge Of Allegiance" with no hesitation whatsoever in saying ONE NATION UNDER GOD . If you can attend please do so, if not say a prayer.

    Thanks & God bless,
    FYG

I teach at a middle school, and until this year, there was quite a turnout. It climaxed two years ago with a special group of particularly spirited youth. It is a moving experience, and it gives me hope for the future.

    Margie,
I was wondering if you have heard anything about a court case in West Virginia about a girl who is sueing the school for not allowing her to begin an "Anarchy Club?"
I just saw it on the news.
    Thanks [IMG]
Btw...I hope it is okay to ask this in this thread. If not, should I begin a new topic?
    Let me know...
    Naomi

We hosted a SYATP rally at our church tonight, then will support the schools in the area.

We had it at our school this morning. It looked as if the entire student body was outside. {We have a total of 2500.} It was a great chance for the Christian kids to give their testimonies and pray for the unsaved.
I will not be going tonight because of services at my church. I wouldn't trade anything for the fellowship of my church family.

Naomi, I don't think anyone will be derailed by your question! No, I had not heard about that lawsuit, but I believe that it happened. I try to stay a little blind to the realities of public school, but as of late I am reconsidering my calling.

I would, however, invite you, Naomi, to start a topic along those lines...you might get a lot of activity!
