The United States is a sovereign nation. It does not receive permission nor its marching orders from any other country.

Right-o, Preach! Too many people think that the UN is the sovereign power, not the individual nations. This, of course, is what the Internationalists and the New World Order people would like us to think.
We have surrendered too many things to the UN already! :(

Legal or not our tanks are blazing through the desert with their guns aimed towards Baghdad, in an effort to put an end to the era of tyrancy and depression for the people of Iraq. If France and Germany believe its illegal their welcome to try to stop US but I don't think they should mess with America & Brittain's Red White & Blue...

    hmmmmmmmmmm good points by all...

The UN is the beginning of the One World Government

if they want to be bombed then let them... but for me and a lot of other American's I choose life over apathy and ignorance... thanks ;)

  6. I agree, we dont need the UN. And we dont need their permission. And when the war is over I think we ought to have full control and leadership in the forming of the new Iraqi country. Since we are the ones risking the lives of our soldiers. We are the ones using our equipment and spending our money on this war. They didn't want to fight, why should they get any aythority in the matter? Plus, the UN has communists and socialists leading. What kind of country would they make? Our troops are doing the fighting we should get head in the reconstruction of Iraq.

If the U.S. has the power, then why do we have the UN at all? Should it just disappear? Perhaps it's the U.S. that is the start of the one world government...they basically control everything anyways.

Just because a nation does courageous deed doesn't mean that we control everything else...and I can not see the US starting the one world government. After all we have never conquered lands we have only liberated them and then gave the land back to its original inhabitants. Our national history is a testiment to that fact.

    Examples:
    Quebec (War of 1812)
    Cuba (Spanish/American War)
Europe- France, Germany, etc. (World War I)
Europe- France, Germany, etc. (World War II)
Asia/Pacific- Japan, Pacific Island Nations, etc. (World War II)
    Afghanistan (War Against Terrorism)
    Iraq (War Against Terrorism)

The reason the United States was able to be the first outside force to ever win a war in Afghanistan was because all the other previous armies (Europeans, Asians, USSR) throughout history went in with the objective to conquer, we on the other hand went in to liberate.

I don't mean the States would be the one world government because it was actually the declared leader of every country. To rule the world, you don't have to go in and conquer every country. It is American companies that control just about every product all over the globe. It is American Multinational Companies that have this control. Also, by America having so much military power, everyone else is scared of attacking them, because it is almost sure loss. And that would be kinda foolish. Because of a strong military and soon to be complete world domination of trade, America could possibly become the one world government.

I disagree that America's companies control the world. If that were really true, the issue of the trade deficit would not be the issue it often is (buying more foreign products than selling domestic ones to foreign customers)

In my opinion, America's economic power is just a further testiment of how much better true capitalism is compared to Communism and Socialism. It will take much more than a country having wealth to make me think that they shall be the One World Government.

I would just like the US to realize that they put Saddam into power and supported him

The US all too often goes hrm that government
doesnt support us - lets overthrow it and install
    a puppet

However - Americans seem to make lousy choices
    concerning puppets

But as to the question war is a matter of personal
national preference. The US prefers to kill or dominate everyone who disagrees with them. SO its legal but ill-timed
