College Decisions

    Ok people keep asking me what my plans are after this year. Am I wanting to be a photographer or an actress or what? LOL Can I say I'm not 100% sure? (A friend of mine graduates this may, took her 4 1/2 years and an education certifcate/degree to figure out she still has no idea what she wants to do with an education degree LOL another one took huge workloads to get a political science degree, and she has no idea what she wants to do at all)

    Anyway, I think my safest bet, for now, is to work towards my Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Puplic communcation. One of the students got to report for ESPN 2 this year(!!!) and their program has a little bit of everything. Also I've already taken some courses that was needed without even knowing it this year.

    I'm planning on going to UAA (University of Alaska, Anchorage - http://www.uaa.alaska.edu) I'll be living with my Aunt(she has satelite!!!!!!! FIGURE SKATING HERE I AM! [​IMG] ) so that will help with expenses... and I won't be traveling so far from home.

    Well since you’re telling everyone about your college plans I thought it could be my turn. Well I'm planning on going to Trinity Christian College, In Illinois. It’s only about an hour and a half away from where I live so I won’t be to far away from my family. I need my family close I really love them, and I also can drive back to my home church, because that’s something I can’t leave behind. So anyways, I got my acceptance letter a while ago but I am still filling out scholarship applications. I need the money to go there otherwise my parents want me to go to a state school and live at home, which I wouldn’t mind but I feel that God is really calling me to go to Trinity. At trinity I plan on majoring in English Education. That’s like the only thing that really interests me. But that’s my college scoop.

    Hi!! [​IMG]

    This seems to be the place to talk about college plans. [​IMG] I'm graduating high school in May, and I plan to go to Hyles-Anderson College in September to learn Secondary Education (high school teaching). I've visited the college quite a lot, and I agree with like... almost all of their standards. I'm really looking forward to college life!!!

    Rach, have you looked at Philadelphia Biblical University? It has an incredible teaching program.

    Rach when you go out there if you meet someone named Alfred Preze say hi from Clint i grow up with him hes a great guy mark my words if that kid keeps his goals rigt he'll do something he wont be brother hyles or brother schaap he'll be alfred preze anyhow thats really neat make time for the Lord ALL of you people going out to college cuz you get so busy that you forget about your walk that should come first not soul winnig and theres a need but getting a hold of God is what its all about dont let the Bible become another text book love it read it cair about it and let it mold you not any teacher but that kjv let it be your all and all well my plans are this keep working and traing under my pastor for the next year sorry for the poor grammer im very sleepy or the lack of grammer

    LOL, I'm not sure what I've done, but I tried to post under "quick reply" and I don't see my post....so I'll try again!
    I graduate highschool in two years Lord willing. Boy does time fly! I've been told by several teachers and older students I need to start applying to colleges next year. Seemed kind of early for me, but I guess I do it anyways!
    I really like Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenvile SC, and Landmark Baptist College in Haines City FLorida. I've also looked at Hyles Anderson, and Crown.
    I supose I'll apply to them, and see what happens. I want the Lord's will in this, so I'll just keep praying.
    My only question is, how do I get information regarding these schools? I've seen webpages, but I'd like to know more, and I'd need to get an application form, which I have no idea how to get ahold of! As usual, I'm in the dark!

    I am not teen, but I would like to tell all of you of my recommend, please not attend Hyles-Anderson College.

    But I can't tell you where college, you going, only the Lord leads you which college, He wants you go.

    Seek Lord's will and wisdom.

    I am not graduating for 4 more years but I recommend BOb Jones University, and Northland Baptist Bible College. I have been to BJU and have NBBC second on my personal list. Almost every graduate at my church has gone to BJU! It's an awesome place where you can really grow in the Lord! The website is www.bju.edu (sorry idk how to do a link!) hope ya like it!

    Well if you like that kjv you hold so very dear to your hearts bju is off the list northland i wish they didnt say they are baptist bible college will be on the list of what school not to look into. Have you all heard of heartland baptist bible college if not do so its a very very good school its out in oaklihoma under the ministery of southwest baptist church. Miss abby call the schools and they will send you a imfo packit. hyles anderson not for all are a few but for some and bless God if he wants you there you better be there!!!!!!!!!!!! well one last thing im preaching prayer meeting night so pray for me if you all would it would be a great big blessing

    Two of my children attended Hyles Anderson College. It is a good college!

    Pastor_Bob is a moderator on this board. PM him, I'm sure he will be glad to tell you what you need to know about Hyles Anderson since he attended there.

    Heya! [​IMG]

    In response to no one in particular, I kinda figured that when I said I was planning on going to Hyles-Anderson that there might be some controversy. I do realize that Hyles-Anderson isn't perfect, but no college is. LoL. [​IMG] I've even looked into various colleges such as Golden State Baptist College (Pastor Trieber), Berean Baptist College (Dr. Tom Neal), Texas Baptist College (Dr. Bob Gray), Champion Baptist College (Pastor Eric Capaci -I would highly recommend this college even though it isn't even open yet), and Gaylord Baptist College (Pastor Jenkins), but through all the searching, I feel like God has truly given me peace about going to HAC. [​IMG] Thanks to all of you for your input though!!! It's much appreciated.
