(What follows is from an e-mail from a grandmother whom I've known for a long time.)

Please pray for my grandson Matthew. Also, I would ask of any Christian young person you might know to perhaps write Matthew an e-mail to encourage him: [email protected]

Matthew is 17 yo and has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

The cause of Crohn's is unknown, but it tends to be more common in relatives with Crohn's. At present there is no known cure for this disease, but God can cure Matthew of it if He so chooses.

The doctors have Matthew on medication at this time, but he is still in some pain.

Crohn's typically affects the lower part of the small intestine or the large intestine, but it can affect any part of the digestive system.

They ran several tests Friday (April 15). One of the test results had to be sent to California.

We will not know of the test results until the first of May.

Again, please pray for Matthew, and if you know of any young person who would want to e-mail Matthew, please pass his e-mail address on to them.

I just had the most wonderful phone conversation with Matthew's Grandmother.

The final lab results that would tell for sure whether or not Matthew actually has Krohn's Disease were finally released a few days ago.

Matthew's doctor was almost certain that this teenager had Krohn's Disease but the final lab reports revealed that there is not even a trace of Krohn's Disease in Matthew's body!!

    PRAISE GOD! [IMG]

Matthew's Grandmother wishes to thank each any every young person (regardless of how old you may actually be) for praying for him.

Only eternity will reveal the extent of the power of the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (James 5:16).

Praise God! Matthew is in our prayers and his grandmother as well. Our Father is the Creator of all, He is the Great Physician. I'm still new on this board and I was looking around the different areas and checked out the youth. My wife and I had been youth Sunday school teachers so we've always had a heart for youth.
