I hope I posted this in the right forum, but to the topic...

Do you think a back rub/massage from a teen girl to a teen guy or vice versa is faithfully wrong? This discussion has came upon my relationship with my girlfriend once or twice and I just wanted to know what you all thought.

    Thanks

Dangerous. I am not sure what you mean by faithfully wrong. I don't personally think that a back rub is morally wrong (is that what you meant to say) in and of itself, but that it could lead you down a road you don't want to go until you are married.

Yea that's what I meant to say, just didn't know how exactly to put it. I understand how it could lead to other things and that would probably be the only concern but for my relationship, if a back rub was to happen, I doubt it would lead to other things. Thanks for your reply.

It would open the door to more touching and I agree with Joseph here. Why start something or open the door to temptation?

I don't think it is appropriate behavior.

    1. Please be careful not to let your guard down. When in the heat of the moment, people will tend to do things they never thought they would do. Don't allow your overconfidence blind you to danger.

    2. My parents taught me something a long time ago that has kept me out of a lot of trouble when I use this advice: When in doubt, don't. If you have the slightest concern about this at all (and I think you should), you should not put yourself in an emotional, heat of the moment situation. Don't try to see how close to the fire you can get without getting burned. Stay a safe distance from the fire.

Yeah my Grandmother says that, if there is a question as to wiether it should be done, and you don't know, and all. She is a very intelligent lady. I'd take her advice.

The Bible does say, "It is not lawful for a man to touch a woman."

The Bible also says to cut off your right hand if it causes you to sin.

But, I seriously think that it would lead to other things maybe, So maybe you should pray about it, and see if God speaks to your heart about it. *Not sayinf this would happen to you* I know a friend of mine started out just like this, just little things like massages and such and now her boyfriend and her are expecting, not married not planning to get married.

Massages are a form of temptation - if they are giving only exclusive massages - then hoo boy look out - something bout to be burning!

but if they go around and just ask only now and then hey anyone want a massage - and it aint the same person over and over - its ok but its teetering on the edge of a slippery slope

My church camp when I was young used to do circle massages - boy did that lead to some rejection - it can be good - but why hover at that edge - people can get vertigo

I'm a firm believer in keeping at least 6 inches away from the opposette sex.
I don't know what your convictions are concerning this, but I'd say don't leave room for temptation. Someone mentioned the verse about it is good for a man not to touch a woman. That verse is there for a reason. God gave us the Bible to help us and guide us. I'd say spend time reading it and praying. God will let you know.
Also like others said, if after that you have a question about it still, then when in doubt...don't.

I believe that boys giving girls massages, and visa versa, are playing with dynomite. There are areas that can be touched during a massage that lead to temptaion. JMHO

Keep your hands to your self is all I got to say. If it can be taken the wrong way than you should not be doing it. That is just what I think
