    Personally, I've been avoiding some topics as they illicit an anger in me when I see some people's responses. I know that this is my personal shortcoming, but I've chosen to temporarily refrain from some of the forums in order to keep my testimony.

    Also, there is the inevitable ebb and flow in the membership. Less than a dozen members who were active 16 years ago (when I joined) are active now.

    I tend to avoid all the nonsense threads. My usual response to most of them is "so what."

    I have tried to get really good, deep, meaningful discussions going but the interest in such seems to be minimal. :)

    Nothing posted on the BB should make you angry. It should make you laugh. Or sad. Or puzzled. But not angry. There is nothing here of significant import to be angry about. :)

    Yet people on the DOG house boards are posting and complaining about this site and people. How bad DHK is and such... So we get attention.

    Do you reckon that having it common knowledge that another board frequently bad mouths the members here encourages people to post here? I don't think this site should act like a "hotrods.com," where we bad attack each other and then run back to "chevyforum.com" or "fordsrule.net" to regroup.

    Of course, it was more of my disinterest in the political threads that drove down my posting. And when 2/3's of the front page was political threads...
    If only every other website was as gracious.

    Illness and fatigue.

    Sick and tired of being a considered a racist because my ancestors never own slaves, an uncaring consumer of the earth because of my carbon footprint and possibly unsaved because I am more inclined to quote Wesley than MacArthur.

    In the downtime I've been restoring some antique furniture, did a period correct restoration of the dining room and laid in the backyard with the 6 year old counting stars.

    The neighborhood on BB has changed considerably and I'm not quite sure I like the changes.
