Well, steaver, apparently I owe you a big apology.

Christians AREN'T advocating for taking away choice. Laws do NOT remove choice. That's what makes this argument so stupid.

Laws identify what's acceptable and, hopefully, best for the society. To break that law is to harm society in some way.

Everyone still has the choice to think of only themselves, rather than thinking of others and how their actions affect others.
Does everyone see the "either-or" fallacy? In order for "You advocate God's way" to be true, the assumption must be that steaver is NOT advocating God's way, and is relying on man's laws. "Make disciples not laws" validates what steaver has said; and ignores that those whose hearts are hardened and will not change, will never be disciples, and necessarily need man's laws to protect the society.

I've said enough about Zaac's erroneous argument. Outta here.

And some folks just don't know what they are talking about but come into the middle of a conversation pretending as though they do.

The passage of a law does not remove the right of choice. Mankind has been granted freewill by God Almighty. We can choose to keep God's Law out of duty, fear or love for Him or we can choose to rebel against His sovereign authority. There are consequences either way. Blessings or Curses, Life or Death.
We can also choose to keep man's law out of duty, fear or love of Country or we can choose to rebel against the Government's delegated authority. There are consequences either way. Peace or War, Happiness or Fear.
As Christians we find that our Love for God leads us to keep God's Law by our Changed Nature.
Our Love for Man leads us to keep our nation's law when it doesn't contradict God's Word.
We are to share God's life changing love, given to us as we trust Jesus Christ as Savior, with the saved and the lost.
Part of sharing His love is the warning of the consequences inherent in choosing to rebel against God by disobeying His Law and those consequences inherent in choosing to rebel against the God granted authority of Human government.
I find it interesting that God's Word in Romans 12:1-2 reads:
1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

    And Romans 13:1-10 reads:
1 ¶ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 ¶ Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another; for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

There are Ungodly laws and Ungodly rulers. We as citizen of this Nation have the right and responsibility to oppose them and work to change them. In my opinion, recognizing abortion as the murder of unborn children with consequences under man's law is not removing choice but extending the Love of God toward the mother, the child and even the Doctors involved by warning them of both the temporal and spiritual price that this act costs those who choose expedience and personal gain over the live God has given to the yet to be born. One more scripture:

Exodus 21:22 ¶ If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
If a price is required for the accidental death of the child, how much more for the intentional death of the child?

Wow. Now I KNOW you're not the original Zaac. The original Zaac wouldn't have made such an obvious blunder.

See, the difference between a "conversation" and a message board is that on a message board, you can start with the first post, go back and re-read posts multiple times, re-reference them while crafting a response...so there's never really a "coming into the middle"....

Yes and not only is it murder it is murder of the worst kind.
It is murder of a helpless person totally dependent of the care and compassion of it's mother.
If the mother will not protect its life it is indeed in a helpless and hopeless situation.

Then enter the medical professional who supposedly have taken something called the Hippocratic oath which contains the following

"I will use treatment to help the sick according to my ability and judgment, but never with a view to injury and wrong-doing. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course. Similarly I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion. But I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even, verily, on sufferers from stone, but I will give place to such as are craftsmen therein"

No doubt - if indeed the oath is taken anymore - it has been reinterpreted by these murderers just as they have reinterpreted the Bill of Rights along with the promise of LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
