It is actually a very good book and could be helpful for you. No, it's not a Christian book but it does give some really good advice on learning how to deal with people in social and work situations. I think you could definitely benefit from it. Here is a Christian review of it (although not really a great review in terms of speaking in detail about the book but their view of reading it as a Christian). https://inspiration-point.org/2016/...ends-and-influence-people-in-the-digital-age/

I have many, and now that I have built shelves I can get more :).

For me it is not overwhelming. Other than reference books, I have read what I own (I buy when I am ready to read).

Maybe I can learn a few things. Tell me why trust a psycho babble book over a bible based book like Success Gods Way by Charles Stanley? Charles (not Andy)... wait different topics.

Because it is a very good book and has been useful to millions of people in the past? You know - I even take advice from my heathen doctor sometimes when he is helping me deal with sometimes physical ailments due to stress but yeah - maybe I should see what Charles Stanley says instead.

Wait a minute. Medical issues, computer issues and such are an entirely different deal.

Some honest, heartfelt advice. Stop being a man follower. Forget Stanley. Forget Dever. Forget MacArthur, forget Comfort.

Be your own man. Study your bible for yourself. Build you own body of doctrine and build your own convictions.

Sadly with the advent of EBay, many of those great finds are gone.
Estate sales and book stores have gone digital.
I found a book barn in Virginia a few years ago that was full of wonderful books, and selling them for what ever you wanted to give for them.
I limited my take to five select ones and gave him a twenty. As I was walking out I told my wife that we better hurry. Someone might arrest us for robbery. Among those five I found two old Nestle Greek Testaments (1906 [6th ed] and 1952 [21st ed]) and a 23rd addition of the Nestle-Aland Testament.

I've got many books on my library shelves that I haven't read.
It's like a wish list that is ever present. Each year I read a few and add a few. Crabby, here on the board, has offered many great selections.

My digital library is another story... I pick them up for free or when the price is right.... many books unread. ...but there's still time.

    Never stop learning.

    Rob

Actually, I used to be a Ford new car salesman. One of my potential buyers was a Christian. He ended up buying from a competitor. When I called him several weeks later, he told me he got shafted at that other dealer.

Wow, y'all have some serious collections on your iPods / Kindles / Nooks / apps on computer / actual physical books on shelves. And I thought my 563 books on my tablet were a lot. Of those, I'd say about 150 or so are theology/religious in nature. The rest are an assortment of non-fiction/reference and fiction.

Although I do have to admit that I haven't even come close to reading all of them. Maybe if I was unemployed/retired/laid up in bed for a month due to an injury, I'd be able to make a dent in that number of unread titles. LOL!!

    :)
