I think it's a really good site and useful to link someone who has a question to a succinct answer.

Also to note what makes this site better than CARM and other similar sites is the ease of use and to the point answers.

I had to chuckle when I saw the thread title. It brought Radio Shack to mind. Their slogan used to be, "You've got questions? We've got answers." ;) :Biggrin

I'll have to check this website out at some point and see what it has to offer.

    :)

    John, it's gotquestions.org - not .com

I've used it and biblehub.com and biblegateway.com for years in trying to find extra scripture to base a Sunday School or Bible study topic on. They use a lot of scripture and don't have to write a novel to get their point across.

I like how they look at the whole issue of all of their answers - such as their answer to the tract question.

Half of their response is plainly pointing the two legitimate weaknesses of using tracts.

I don't agree with every answer I've read from that site, but it's been so few that I still consider it a good source.

But much of the answer is the strengths of tracts.

    Some quotes

Any method that results in people hearing/reading and understanding the biblical gospel is a good evangelism method.

Gospel tracts can be a very effective method of evangelism. Again, if the biblical gospel is presented in a clear and understandable manner, God will use it (Isaiah 55:11). Any time God’s Word goes forth, it is powerful and effective (Hebrews 4:12)

Gospel tracts are an excellent choice when you simply do not have time to stop and witness to someone. Gospel tracts can be left in strategic locations for people to pick up later and read.

    But it continues:

"There are perhaps two primary weaknesses/issues with gospel tracts. First, there are several prominent gospel tract publishers who produce tracts in which the gospel is not as clear as it should be. Some of the pseudo-Christian cults are well known for having tract ministries. Before you consider handing out a gospel tract, read it closely and do some research on its publisher. Make sure that the gospel is clearly presented. If the tract endorses a website or other source of information, ensure that the message presented there is biblical.

Second, some people rely entirely on gospel tracts and purposefully avoid directly sharing the gospel with others. Giving someone a gospel tract is easier than personally sharing the gospel. While there are definitely many situations where giving a gospel tract is entirely appropriate, there are other situations where only a personal gospel presentation will suffice. We are all to be ready, willing, and able to share the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15). Gospel tracts can be an important and valuable aspect of sharing the gospel, but it should not be the sole means of our outreach."

One of the best things for someone seeking answers is that you can ask a specific question which gets assigned to a writer for a personal answer.

I would typically spend 10 to 12 hours preparing an answer

The coolest thing for me as a writer was that the questions were all over the Spectrum, and I encountered questions about issues I would have never dreamed to study
