    Do you root for the Brooklyn Dodgers in Major League Baseball? After a year of Dr. Weeks' Baptist History, I was less than enthusiastic about a Baptist team named the Crusaders especially with a knight on horseback as the logo.

    No. I actually root for the St. Louis Browns.
    I never liked "Crusaders" either for much the same reason. I just hated that they made a PC driven move to change the name, and Sabrecats seems really lame to me.

    I don't think of it as a PC move. Rather, I look at it as shedding an obsolete name. Crusader may have been the bee's knees to Dr. Cedarholm but in 201x it wasn't. As for Sabrecats, the San Jose Arena Football team was the SabreCats. The only problem was the team colors were gold and green. So, I couldn't reuse any team merchandise.

    BJU and Moody men lost yesterday to Randall Free Will Baptist and Grace Bible, respectively.

    BJU and Pensacola women lost to Maranatha and Randall Free Will Baptist.

    Maranatha women vs. Arlington Baptist semifinal game today.

    Arlington Baptist trounced the Maranatha gals 93-53 and went on to win the championship Saturday.

    Randall Free Will Baptist won the men's tournament.
