There were no dancing Israeli's on 911. Good grief.

Hey, if you want to talk foreign policy, we can do that.

But if you want to begin a conversation with the supposition that the US government had an active role in planning 9/11, then we may as well agree to disagree and forego the discussion, because I don't see any good coming from it.

You might want to brush up on your physics.

    F = ma

    F = 1/2mv²

You will notice that the two Truthers in this thread do not live in the U.S. Coincidence?

Hundreds of witnesses on the ground saw the airplane flying low and hit the Pentagon.

    Israelis? I think not.

It's nearly 50 years since I took my science degree, but I saw at once your ignorance of physics. Your equations confuse force & energy.

Now try to answer my simple questions:

The assumption is that the plane would crash through the building because of high velocity.
Q1 - if you hit a hollow aluminium structure with a steel girder, what gives way.
Q2 - if you then hit a steel girder with a hollow aluminium structure, with the same velocity [ delete force], what gives way?
Q3 - drop a house brick on a balsa wood plane, what breaks?
Q4 - fly a balsa wood plane into a brick wall, what breaks?
Q5 - fly a balsa wood plane really fast into a brick wall, what breaks?

Confuse force and energy? I listed the equations for calculating force based on mass and acceleration, mass and velocity. As in a jet airliner weighing 100,000 lbs. traveling at 300 mph hitting a skyscraper.

Has a lot of energy to give up.

My old 1SG was at the Pentagon that morning, and he was at the time and still is a baptist pastor. He was a strong, godly influence on me and a number of other young men, at a time when we needed it

So, should I believe him or random people on the internet?

This link supports your witnesses - sorry for my wrong assertion:
    http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/911_pentagon_eyewitnesses.html
BUT - it was flown with extreme precision by the unskilled hijackers,
    OR - ???

I don't object to being called a "truther."

Hijackers had attended flight school in the United States.

The term cognitive dissonance comes to mind, when a person "actively avoids situations and information likely to increase the psychological discomfort."

Americans (and, yes, I am one) very often just do not want to accept the possibility - the mere possibility - of their own government going over to the dark side.

Well, the founding fathers not only considered the possibilities, they published safeguards against that contingency; the Constitution and Federalist Papers.

You might want to brush up on your logic.

If I fly over to America and type the same things will I then be more credible to you? I am not here because I hate America. I am here because I can still teach here. I lost my teaching job in Texas (my tentmaking) in large part because of my supposed unAmerican slant I had in my teaching. I deviated from the A Beka script of how exceptional America could do no wrong. I tried to inculcate critical thinking skills in my students.

So, thankfully, I am here in China where I can not only teach English but be salt in a place that is decidedly unsalty.

Yes, you can learn a lot in a few weeks of flight school. Training on a small plane is just like those big ones. You also learn that critical skill of getting your plane to bypass those bothersome laws of physics.

I wonder how many of you (what should I call you? Anti-truthers?) have read the page I linked, full of damning quotes from professionals who live in the US. Here is just one. underlining mine:

"General Albert Stubblebine, U.S. Army (ret) – Commanding General of Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), 1981 - 1984. Also commanded U.S. Army's Intelligence Center. Former head of Imagery Interpretation for Scientific and Technical Intelligence. 32-year Army career. Inducted into the Military Intelligence Hall of Fame in 1990.

Video: "One of my experiences in the Army was being in charge of the Army's Imagery Interpretation for Scientific and Technical Intelligence during the Cold War. I measured pieces of Soviet equipment from photographs. It was my job. I look at the hole in the Pentagon and I look at the size of an airplane that was supposed to have hit the Pentagon. And I said, ‘The plane does not fit in that hole'. So what did hit the Pentagon? What hit it? Where is it? What's going on?""

This just one quote. There are also attorney generals, senators, professional pilots, physicists, etc. Not a tinfoil hat among them.

The other question I have is what happened to building 7. According to the official story, I mean. I know what really happened, but I do not see how they can force that little puzzle piece into the official narrative.

And we should believe your "random" pastor over the credible other witnesses on the Internet? I don't doubt that he was there when it happened. But he did not see a plane hit the Pentagon. If that did happen there would be photos.

Think of it. The most highly technical country.
The military nerve-center of that country.
And we have no photo of a plane.Just one blurry shot of what clearly could just as well be a missile.

It's not cognitive dissonance, but pragmatism.

Do you think, if we spent the next few days arguing about this topic, that anyone's mind will be changed?

I don't. I've seen how this goes, many times on many forums. Including this one.

So I just don't see rehashing this as a wise use of time. If you think that you have a new argument or evidence, by all means post it. Don't let me stop you.

Yes, people do change. My wife was the first to doubt the story. I thought she was nuts. But I slowly changed my mind. I have read other testimonies online of similar cases.

And it is a wise use of time. I care deeply what happens to my country. It honestly saddens me that many Americans are not political Bereans.

No need for new arguments when the old ones go unanswered. Example: WTC 7.

But feel free to bow out. As long as there are responders here I will also add my two cents.
