The House Freedom Caucus proved Friday that they cannot be run over by Donald Trump. Once Trump has finished sifting through the wreckage of his presidency, he may come to realize that he has two options left to rebuild it: Either run through the Freedom Caucus or run around it.

Because, so long as Trump decides he wants to work squarely within a Republican framework, the Freedom Caucus, a bloc of 37 House conservatives who band together on major votes, has the power to stop legislation. And this week it showed that gumming up the works remains its objective, even with a Republican in the White House. Each concession Trump made to the recalcitrant caucus brought him no new support but further alienated the moderate Republicans he needs for a majority.

Not a bad thing at all.

Ryan's plan was terrible. It needed to be shelved.

When they get together on a deal, it will be much better than the failed obamacare.

Personally, at this point, I am in favor of just letting Obamacare collapse by leaving it alone and reinstating all the "exceptions" illegally granted by Obama. It won't take long.

Then democrats can try to explain it.;)

Talk about hyperbole. The Freedom Caucus does not control the government. They happened to prevail on this particular bill. Good for them.

Many media outlets estimated that there were 25 or so Freedom Caucus members that would have voted No on the AHCA bill. There were another 8 to 10 moderate GOPers that would have voted No. All democrats would have voted No.

Trump needs to find 15 to 20 Democrats and he can get most anything he wants passed in the House.

    It is the Trump plan.

He MUST have an out for allowing ObamaCare 2.0 instead of TrumpCare 1.0.

There are a total of 535 Members of Congress. 100 serve in the U.S. Senate and 435 serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Nothing new ~ The Congress is Constitutionally granted authority to MAKE or REJECT creation of new laws!

Nothing new ~ Members of Congress routinely decide to VOTE for or AGAINST new proposed bills.

    USC
Article 1, Section 1 – “All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

    Thanks for sharing Huff Puff's non-news. :)

You do know that Trump supported Obamacare [along with most if not all Obama's polices] and that Trump supported ,funded and praised Obama and that Trump is still a Socialist Democrat that he ran on the Republican ticket to destroy the GOP and that Trump supports single payer like Universal Healthcare that its Trump's desire for America and that TrumpCare is worse that Obamacare that millions will lose their health insurance and taxes will rise ? Lets just call it what it really is Clinton-Obama-TrumpCare
