Is it time to scrap Day Light Savings Time?

Scrap it.

 

Yes, scrap it, throw it down, stomp on it until it is dead, dead, dead.

I usually complain about it on my blog or Facebook once a year, but this year I just posted on picture on Facebook of "dog tired" after one week of DST. It used to take my body about a week to adjust. Now it takes about two weeks.

In Texas perhaps we have a shot at getting rid of it (it even has bi-partisan support). House Representative Jason Isaac, of Dripping Springs, has filed legislation to exempt Texans from DST. He says, “It’s really time to end this archaic practice of springing forward.”

Amen.

The Texas bill would settle on the standard time year round rather than the DST. I prefer that one, but my main objection is to the government intrusion into the schedules of every one of its citizens.

I'm of the mind that if we keep it, that's fine by me, but if we scrap it, that's fine by me as well. I only have one clock in my house that has to be set by hand, so changing one clock is no big deal for me. As for "adjusting" to the change, I've never had any problems with it. I pretty much have irregular sleep patterns anyway due to shift work, so losing an hour in the Spring and gaining it back in the Fall is no biggie. I just roll with it. LOL!!

 

Really, I would accept either IF IT WERE YEAR ROUND.
If given the choice, I would choose Standard Time

Standard time, Daylight saving time or something different?

BTW I am against DST. I like it to get dark earlier.
