Of course. God's word benefits everyone, whether reconciled or not.
Gandhi read the beatitudes and chose to live them out. He remained a Hindu all his life. The world benefited from Gandhi's actions, but Gandhi was lost in sin. He never reconciled with God through Jesus atoning sacrifice.

The Scriptures..for the benefit of ALL men ?

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

    Were the Scriptures written
If so, then there really was no benefit to ALL mankind, was there ?
There is no question that even a Christian reading Buddha's writings and applying whatever principle he finds there to his life could benefit from Buddha's writings.
A military tactician reading from Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" and applying what he reads from there to his battle plan could benefit from it, and benefiting, win a war that he might be fighting for a larger cause.

As for him never reconciling with God, we really don't know that, do we ?

You know, HankD, you got me thinking again.
    Yes, I do think.....every once in a while..lol
That word, "man", did that mean man as a whole ?
    Or God's man, or men.
But, that's a question for another thread, hopefully.

God's word, which informs of us God's will, benefit all men because they 1) tell all men where they are wrong, and 2) tell all men how to fix that which is wrong.

Any man who reads the 10 commandments will know that he has failed to keep them and is thus a sinner, condemned by his own actions.

And knowing we are wrong is the first step in getting that wrong righted.

Yes, we know that Gandhi was asked about saving faith in Christ and he did not accept it. He viewed Jesus as one of the pantheon of gods that could be added to the Hindu list of gods.

Paul, under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, writing to the Roman congregation.
For whatsoever things were written afore time were written for OUR learning, that WE through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have HOPE. (Romans 15:4)......

Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for OUR admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Corinthians 10:11

Gandhi admired Christ, and applied the Scriptures' teaching and benefited from it, as it would anybody who reads and picks the "good" things applicable to him, but the benefit of the Scripture is for the spirit, not for the flesh, that is, the practical side of life.

According to Paul, the Old Testament (which he refers to, obviously, since there was no New Testament Scriptures like these times) were written for GOD'S people that GOD'S people may have hope....John says 'But these are written, that ye might BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might HAVE LIFE through his name.
