It does raise a larger question ... Who should we allow to care for our children? If we disagree with the lifestyle of a person does that automatically disqualify them? a homosexual, because they are homosexual? an adulterer, because adultery is wrong? a thief, because they cannot be trusted? a drug user (including alcohol and tobacco) because their judgement may be impaired? a Hindu because he/she has different values to mine?

Then at what age or stage of maturity do we allow this to change? Somewhere along the line we have to know who to trust and teach our children how to make those discernments.

 

Your asking questions which in our country have no answers. I viewed a teacher a High Schoolteacher retired because he could find no scientific evidence for monkey business. If you question anyone and don't hire them because of sexual preference, it becomes a hate crime. Pretty soon what bathroom we should use will confuse all of us. There is no peace in our world.

Couldn't offer a better dscription of today's political system; and a great portion of the nation!

 

It's always been a corrupt world. We ask God for wisdom and pray that He might desire to keep our loved ones safe. We have no guarantee that evil won't be allowed to touch our children. All we know is that God says He will never leave us nor forsake us.

I will be honest about this, before I was saved, if I found out that a teacher of either sex was homosexual I would have pulled my child or children out of there. My dad taught me a lesson I cannot forget! You are becoming what the people you hang with are.

Having been an entertainer, I have bumped into some very pleasant Homosexual men and women. That has nothing to do with my disdain for their chosen life style. And as a child I was exposed to their perversion as a recipient and I never want any child to be anywhere near that danger.

 

Can not the teacher who is gay or lesbian refrain from pushing their agenda at school and just teach?

 

Agreed, simply teach -- do the job they are employed to do. The item that starts this thread gives no indication that the teacher was pushing any agenda.

 

As the issue to me is what are they doing, if teaching fine, if also pushing their gay agenda....
