    If you looked at the time I posted, you would see I had very little info to go on. In fact I did say this was a terrible act. And at the time it was reported. umbers were low and sniper was the news wording not mine!

    In fact, it was evident that HATE and EVIL reigned supreme over Vegas, and some of it seems to have drifted in the direction of your corner of the world!

    Get a life.

    I'm probably on RD's ignore list....

    The thing we all took issue with was, as you just admitted, you had very little info to go on; but instead of just posting the facts, and waiting for more info -- you immediately assumed it was someone from another country and went on an anti-immigration rant. Basically, you did what all of us, yourself included, complain about the mainstream media for.

    Instead of acknowledging that, you try to explain it away by admitting that you posted with very little info to go on; with no mention of how wrong you were about the shooter.

    Frankly, you should go to work for MSNBC. You're exactly the kind of "reporter" and commentator they like to employ.

    I'm having a hard time with this 72 minute thing.

    Surely some of the rooms around this guy were occupied. I can't believe he fired off hundreds of rounds and nobody alerted the front desk? Shooting guns indoors is deafening, I know.

    The soundproofing in that room must be amazing.

    1. Guns will never be confiscated in this country, even if there are some people who would like such to happen. There are about 300,000,000 guns in this country. There is no way to make even a dent in such numbers.

    2. If little children being slaughtered in Newtown didn't move the gun debate in this country toward changes in the laws about them, then I don't see how this latest massacre will move the gun debate.

    I didn't say you said it should be illegal. I said you appear to be saying it should be legal - that is indeed the thrust of your last post: if making something illegal doesn't stop it happening then there is no point in criminalising it.
