Are you claiming to have attained that goal of sinlessness?

Are you insinuating he is not?

Not at all in reference to the question to HankD. To answer your other question about claiming to attain the goal of sinlessness. As believers we should be striving for that each day that we live. Remember, sin will not enter into the Kingdom of God (Heaven). So, no matter how one spins this lie that we cannot because we are still in the flesh. (The serpents lie from the beginning). Those that take GOD's WORD completely believes that it is absolutely true to live Holy for He is Holy. The root word for righteous is (right) according to his Word. If you know "right" walk in the right way of the Lord! Think in the right. Believe in the right way. PERIOD! There is no cutting the corners. To many are still falling for the deception "Surely you will not".....

Neil. you ask folks a question requiring a yes or no answer which you won't answer yourself.

So, yes or no to your own question?

    It's only fair.

Do you live a sinless life?

Asked and answered on the last page! It does not matter what a person says, what matters is what scripture says!

Van, that is a pretty good synopsis in that it correctly sees our New Man as being the New Creation that sins not. But it also recognizes that the old man of flesh is still with us and will constantly battle against the New Man and lead us to sin, which we do every day in thought, word, and deed.

Praise God He looks on the New Man. :)

Yes, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Not, of my own.

So as a born anew believer, made holy and perfect and blameless by the blood of Jesus, you commit sin in the eyes of God?
Will Y1 answer the question he asked. Nope!

I am not ashamed of what Jesus did in my life. If your sins are washed away why is the church afraid to really stand on what God's word says?

    Yeshua1,
Why, is it so hard to believe in the scriptures of what Jesus said. What does repent means? To "Turn away". There are believers that walk this earth today in that they take what this word says absolute. Are we as a church going to continue believe in the lie from the beginning as Satan deceived Eve? Look at your life in the eyes of the Spirit.

You should do that as well Neil.

You accuse "the church" of believing a lie yet you won't answer your own question.

Why can't you give a direct answer or will you do another verbal tap dance around your own question?

Do you live a sinless life?

    Yes or no.

Asking the Lord to forgive us of our sins, and repenting/forsaking doing them again, is a far cry though from "sinless perfection"

    Ok Van.

You make the statement my claim was false.

It is obligatory that the show any Scripture of any translation that uses the words “propitiatory shelter” in the context of your statement.

Obviously, you are attempting to point (perhaps) to the mercy seat, but that seat was not a shelter for believers, but a type, a promise, a hope of what was to be fulfilled in Christ.

FULFILLED in Christ is not the same concept as believers finding some shelter under a seat.

Who says they are? Is this your "holier than thou" attitude again? "Hey, look at me! I stand for the word but nobody else does! That is why I am so perfect!":rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Guess being "Holy" is the sign of sinless perfection!

Can you give me your definition of just what you think sin actually is?
