Wow. Another zombie thread. The poor thing died 3 months ago!
You seem to not have a very good understanding of what I said. Can you post a quote from me where I said all bible versions are mistranslated?

When I study I do so in the Hebrew and Greek. When I just read the bible I use a translation I trust but when in doubt I still refer back to the Hebrew or Greek.

It is always a good idea to actually read the verse in question. Here. I will help you.

Acts 13:48 As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Now, Who is verse 48 talking about as the One who appoints to eternal life?

    Well, again, read the text.

Acts 13:47 For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”

So, according to the context it is the Lord Who brings salvation and the Lord Who appoints to eternal life.

The bible couldn't be any more clear. You either believe it or reject it.

    I believe it.

There are so many things wrong with your exegesis. Act 13:48 in the Greek does not say they were appointed to eternal life by God before they believed. and you still haven't made it seem so. The KJV translated it as ordained not appointed. other men could just as eaisly ordained them ot they could have predetermined them selves or appointed them selves in the seeking of eternal life.
The verse 13:47 tells the reason they set there minds on eternal life as most do when they accept Christ. It's called light. Your argument is with out merit.

Context of acts 13:48 is in verse 46-& 47
Act 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Act 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

No where is it ever indicated that God appointed the hearers of Paul and Barnabas to eternal life but they set them selves in that direction.

Another subject you just don't understand. I am not going to repeat what has already been posted in this thread. Just read it.
