    Since they view God's sovereignty as being limited to absolute control of every thought and moment of men's salvation then there is no need to share the gospel. If God's wants them saved He will regenerate them without and help of man. God doesn't need nor want our help.

    A false assumption results in a false conclusion.

    Yes, and two false assumptions makes it even worse.

    "Since they view God's sovereignty as being limited to absolute control of every thought and moment of men's salvation"

    Which is, of course, untrue.

    "then there is no need to share the gospel."

    Another untruth. Gospel preaching is the means Christ uses to draw the hearers to Himself. John 12:32.

    Not to mention that Gospel preaching is the command of Christ.

    Matthew 28:16–20, Mark 16:14–18, Luke 24:44–49, John 20:19–23, and Acts 1:4–8.

    Please. Do some study before posting. Especially check the difference between Hyper Calvinism (Hyper = above or beyond - Hyper-Calvinism goes beyond Calvinism and into error) and Calvinism.

    Nothing vague about it. I pointed out your false assumption led you to your false conclusion.

    In computer terms it used to be called "GIGO." Garbage In, Garbage Out.

    Your false assumption was garbage so your false conclusion was also garbage.

    No no, it was vague. It was a short statement with no real explanation attached to it so yea it was vague.

    I am a Christian. John Calvin is not my Savior. He did not believe in believer's baptism by immersion nor did he believe in congregational church polity. My faith does not carry the name of a man.

    And why do I care? Simple. The Truth is important to me. I believe it is a sin for Calvinists to lie about what non-Calvinists believe, and I believe it is a sin for non-Calvinists to lie about what Calvinists believe.

    Are they lying or just creating a caricature based on their own perceptions? Is that the same thing as lying or is it more acceptable?

    I agree that we are commanded to preach The Gospel. Without calling me stupid, please tell me why irresistible grace needs us to preach the Gospel.

    I would honestly love to know what Calvinists believe. You are a Particular Baptist who does not use the name Calvinist but for all practical purposes, is a Calvinist. Macarthur is a Calvinist, Sproul, Kennedy, etc. None of you believe the same thing when you get down to the details.

    That is why I eschew the term "Calvinist." I am a "Calvinist" only in that I believe in the 5 Heads of Doctrine now expressed by the acronym TULI (E) P.

    And I have clearly stated several times what I believe in this forum (which is main stream Particular Redemption), but for some reason many of the posters keep insisting on posting falsehoods regarding such.

    Because God's Efficacious Grace is what opens the heart to the Truth of the Gospel message. No Gospel, no salvation.

    Reynolds,
    God ordains all the means necessary to effect salvation. Salvation takes place as God has decreed the means of each elect persons salvation.

    RM shows he has no idea what Calvinism is at all, he cannot grasp it at this point in time.The caricatures he makes are borderline incoherent.:Cautious

    Chapter 10: Of Effectual Calling
    1._____ Those whom God hath predestinated unto life, he is pleased in his appointed, and accepted time, effectually to call, by his Word and Spirit, out of that state of sin and death in which they are by nature, to grace and salvation by Jesus Christ;

    enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the things of God;

    taking away their heart of stone, and giving unto them a heart of flesh;

    renewing their wills,

    and by his almighty power determining them to that which is good, and effectually drawing them to Jesus Christ;

    yet so as they come most freely, being made willing by his grace.

    ( Romans 8:30; Romans 11:7; Ephesians 1:10, 11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 14; Ephesians 2:1-6; Acts 26:18; Ephesians 1:17, 18; Ezekiel 36:26; Deuteronomy 30:6; Ezekiel 36:27; Ephesians 1:19; Psalm 110:3;Song of Solomon 1:4 )
    2._____ This effectual call is of God's free and special grace alone, not from anything at all foreseen in man, nor from any power or agency in the creature, being wholly passive therein, being dead in sins and trespasses,
    until being quickened and renewed by the Holy Spirit; he is thereby enabled to answer this call, and to embrace the grace offered and conveyed in it, and that by no less power than that which raised up Christ from the dead.
    ( 2 Timothy 1:9; Ephesians 2:8; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Ephesians 2:5; John 5:25; Ephesians 1:19, 20 )

    3._____ Elect infants dying in infancy are regenerated and saved by Christ through the Spirit; who worketh when, and where, and how he pleases; so also are all elect persons, who are incapable of being outwardly called by the ministry of the Word.
    ( John 3:3, 5, 6; John 3:8 )

    4._____ Others not elected, although they may be called by the ministry of the Word, and may have some common operations of the Spirit, yet not being effectually drawn by the Father, they neither will nor can truly come to Christ, and therefore cannot be saved: much less can men that receive not the Christian religion be saved; be they never so diligent to frame their lives according to the light of nature and the law of that religion they do profess.
    ( Matthew 22:14; Matthew 13:20, 21; Hebrews 6:4, 5; John 6:44, 45, 65; 1 John 2:24, 25; Acts 4:12; John 4:22; John 17:3 )
