Big stink at another church, except here parishioners do want facilities installed inside the church building:

Media banned from secret ballot on church extension

"journalists – except those who live in the parish – have been banned from covering the parish assembly, which will involve a secret ballot....The specially convened assembly has been called in an attempt to resolve a long-running dispute"

"the project [to tack on an annex] has backing from the parish and the Church of England in Jersey [but] is opposed by a group of parishioners [who] have alternative plans to provide the facilities inside the church rather than in a new extension"

"we fully support of the provision of toilet facilities and a servery...but we believe this can be provided inside the church."
